....If Romney can't win, he'll be certain that the person who beat him is so damaged, so beaten up by his negative campaign ads that they will have no chance against Obama. Unfortunately for Republicans, it creates a lose-lose situation.
Mitt Romney cannot defeat Obama. His flipping and flopping is well documented and will be highlighted by the Obama campaign as the signature of one with a lack of character. He is such a poor speaker in interviews that he attempted to appeal to the middle class by trying to bet Rick Perry $10,000 and later saying that, “I’m not concerned about the very poor. We have a safety net there. If it needs repair, I’ll fix it.”
If something is not a concern, it won't be fixed.
The statement was not intended to downplay the troubles of the unfortunate in America, nor was his bet with Rick Perry an attempt to point out that he has the ability to offer 3-months of an average worker's salary on a whimsical wager. His intended meanings are likely (relatively) pure but his inability to stop putting his foot in his mouth will get him demolished against Obama's buzz machine.
They won't have to destroy Romney. They just have to wait around long enough for him to destroy himself.
Leading up to the next primaries, Romney's team will go on the offensive against Santorum. If Paul or Gingrich make up ground, he will attack them as well. He does not have enough good ideas to lift himself as the rightful Republican candidate, so he's trying to destroy everyone else to make himself the reluctant choice by default.

His sons and their entitled friends were rude and disrespectful to all of them as was of course, Mittens himself. He burned alot of bridges. Interesting that Huck and Juan now slobber over him..very puzzling. Apparently they are quick forgetters.
Weak and vulnerable. Even the conservative media is giving him a pass. Hannity went on a rant about Jeremiah Wright and Obama’s radical terrorist friends again last night.
Shame he won’t touch faith and friends with GOPEe delegates.
Instead he’ll wait until Romney gets the nomination and Axelrod brings it all forward.
I write him everytime he brings up Obama’s faith and friends but he seems to be in Romney’s pocket.
Another reason to want to see Romney go down is that IMO, it’s a certainty that he will lose handily to Obama.
In the upcoming debate, would love to see one of the other candidates say something to Mittens(about his father being a Washington insider?) that would make that tightly wound, stuttering phony lose his cool and go postal on stage...like lunge for the offenders throat or something. :-). Then the real Mittens would be on display before the American people.

The political elite find Santorum acceptable on the fiscal side, his social side has them running away fast.

Romney makes me uneasy. Uncomfortable. I don’t trust him and I really don’t know much about him. He will say anything to get elected- why? Why is it so important for him to win? There is something slightly sinister about this guy. Like he has been groomed for some time to take office.

And sorry, those moron commercials that say, “I’m a mormon, I’m just like you” don’t cut it. You are NOT just like me. And never will be. So shuttie.

You might want to reconsider that, Romney belongs to a cult which rivals Islam in it’s animus towards true Christianity. Mormons teach that man can become God, and that God was once a man:
