Sci-fi flick tells the story of a forgotten Nazi space program and... President Palin?
A very peculiar sci-fi movie called Iron Sky is making its way through the circuit of film festivals in Europe this season, yet it is conspicuously not coming anywhere near the United States. The flick is replete with great stuff Americans love to watch: spaceships, fighting Nazis, fighting Nazi invaders from space, Jerry Bruckheimer-levels of explosions, a campy yet potent sense of dark humor and President Sarah Palin?
Oh. Now it all makes sense why its staying away from the U.S. Well, sort of.
In the film, the President of the United States is female, does adorn a certain someones signature red dress suit, sports a very familiar hairdo-and-glasses combo, and has the initials S.P. But its not a former governor of Alaska.
Already, this movie sounds more like a fantasy horror than sci-fi comedy. At any rate, Iron Sky confidently offers something for everybody to either love or hate, which is all the makings of a summer blockbuster, right?
The film, which is in English, depicts a fleet of Moon Nazis that intent on invading Earth so as to resume their mission of world domination. The last first and last line of defense for the United States of America, and the rest of the world, I fear, is the commander-in-chief of the United States, the aforementioned Palinesque Stephanie Paul.
This movie is like a Choose Your Own Adventure book gone absolutely berserk on angel dust, but Iron Sky is surreal enough to entice just about anybodys interest. Just try to watch the the trailer below without quietly craving more.
I’m waiting for “Sarah Palin: Vampire Hunter”.

Geez...hits theaters April 4th...
The U.S.S. George W. Bush...LOLOL!
Just 3 weeks after John Carter hits the theaters. I can't wait. I'll see both of them.
Wow, that looks astonishingly stupid.
I’m rereading all the Burroughs’ Barsoom books in anticipation. I just hope Disney hasn’t screwed it up too much. And I hope it’s a big success. Would be hilarious to see them attempt to make Chessmen of Mars with the Ghek character.
The character in that photo is dressed up to look like Sarah Palin. But I’m afraid she’s just not as good looking. Or smart looking.
Still, interesting idea.
This is about more than Sarah Palin and NAZIs. This film is important in the sense that it is the first movie with significant contributions from fans, both money and actual work on the film. This is a model that can tear down the high obstacles non Hollywood blessed films have in getting made.
I’ll go see it. Just because!
A season or two ago, the TV series “Supernatural” had an episode where one of the main charcaters is transported three or four years into the future.
The character finds himself on the outskirts of Kansas City, and part of it is fenced off and guarded by the military. The military is shooting civilians who are infected with a plague which causes them to become violent.
Apparently this plague is widespread, because the main character picks up a newspaper from the ground with the headline, “President Palin Defends Bombing of Houston.”
I forget the exact date on the newspaper, but it was sometime in August, 2014.
“Wow, that looks astonishingly stupid.’
I know......
Can’t wait to see it.
Has she commented on this portrayal?
This movie looks funny.
I haven’t seen any comments from her.
The Nazis never had a chance...
.
Awesome! Folks, watch the trailer. I’m looking for a torrent. I don’t quietly crave more, this looks like the movie of the year. This is your big screen Palin hit-piece that misfires. Sweet.
