Welcome to the 2012 Nascar racing season and our 11th year of posting&hosting race threads.

We've come a long way since 2001. We've seen wars and battles and friends and adversaries come and go but if there has been any one thing that has driven us here, it is a desire to 'Support Our Troops' in any way we can or to at least Thank Them for their service and to keep the flame of freedom and liberty burning for all of those who have and will serve our country.

There’s 15 competitive cars right now in the “pack”.
Mears has lost the draft - 10 secs back.
Kenny has fallen back (30 secs), then B Labonte, Bowyer, and Bill Elliott... these have now collected Kenny in their group.
Richardson is a lap down.
Raines, Rooty, and Yeley are out.

We’re around lap 38 now... green flag pit stops look likely.

No pit incidents noted. Lots of gas only stops... probably half did right-side tires as well.

The second Gatorade qualifying duel race - results are merged with the results of the first one to determine the starting grid for Sunday (excepting the 1/2 positions from speed qualifying the other day).

10 to go. KURT BUSCH.... too fast exiting. Pass through penalty.

Biffle, Regan Smith, JJ, Sadler, Kenseth
Logano, Ky Busch, Newman, Gordon, Martin.
Blaney 11th (needs to race his way in).
Nemechek 14th (ditto).

Not a lot of passing.... not nearly like the first race.
