"the suspect has been living in the United States illegally since 1999"

And THAT is why we must deport, according to our LAWS, all illegal aliens!

This squatter was in Virginia, some have said those local mosques should be questioned. I'm surprised AMNESTY/Islam loving Grover Norquist didn't run the guy for national office, he seems to have his fingers in everything else there. You all remember Grover Norquist, don't you, founder of the Islamic Free Market Institute .....good buddy of Gingrich??

[snip]From March 4, 2010 Grover Norquist's Jihad

By Pamela Geller

Grover Norquist has continued his activities on behalf of the Islamic supremacists: In 2008, journalist Paul Sperry revealed Norquist's sponsorship of Muslim candidates with shadowy ties to terrorists and wrote that Norquist had a "wicked project to dress Islamists up as patriotic Republicans so they can infiltrate the government." Norquist sponsored Kamal Nawash's unsuccessful bid to become Republican Party leader in Virginia; Nawash was Abdurahman Alamoudi's attorney. Norquist also aided previous failed political runs by Nawash -- including Nawash's 2003 Virginia state senate bid, to which Saffuri gave money.

Norquist also aided Faisal Gill's failed run for the Virginia state legislature in 2007. Gill, like Nawash, was an associate of Alamoudi. During his run, he took $3,000 in contributions from the pro-jihad Safa group.

So it is no surprise that CPAC 2009, like CPAC 2010, had nothing addressing the war we are actually engaged in. This is due to the influence of Norquist, Keene, and Suhail Khan, a CPAC board member. According to Discover the Networks, Khan "has repeatedly been a featured speaker at MSA, ISNA and CAIR events" -- that is, the Muslim Students Association, Islamic Society of North America, and Council on American-Islamic Relations, three groups linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, the international Islamic organization dedicated to establishing the rule of Islamic law and the subjugation of infidels worldwide.

Newt supports a “path to citizenship”(a.k.a. AMNESTY) for illegals.

Newt clearly hasn’t made up his mind on the subject, but the one thing he has been consistent in, he will not enforce the law (build a border fence, deport illegals, sanctions against companies hiring illegals), but the latest rhetoric has been all over the map.

Newt Gingrich's illegal immigration comment sparks controversy

Newt Says Let Illegals Stay, Drawing Raves from CNN Liberals for Having a Heart

Did Newt Gingrich just flip-flop on immigration?

There's no need to separate them from their families, Newt....they can take them along when they return home. That’s the same reason I could not and would not EVER support Slick Willard Romney, so why should I give Newt a pass.

In my opinion, this too should be a disqualifier for both candidates. If laws matter, then you do not reward one who broke the law with amnesty or pretending they didn’t. If you’re here illegally, you didn’t respect the law in the first place and surrendered any “rights” when you left your country of origin.

That would have required them to have actually paid a debt in the first place. Squatting here for 25 years isn’t “paying a debt to society”. Newt and Perry were offering “path-to-citizenship” blanket amnesty for those who broke the law, which goes against what the voters of Georgia, Oklahoma, Arizona and other states have worked hard to get passed into law. Self-deportation and applying for citizenship with no criminal record is a way to become “legal” again, and anything less is amnesty.

Besides, foreigners who broke the law to get here or get shot in the process of smuggling drugs or invaders across the border should have zero legal standing to sue in American courts.

There isn’t anything complex about it. If I broke into your house, and took one of your bedrooms as my own, you’d call law enforcement to remove me from your property. Newt says if I stay long enough before law enforcement has an opportunity to remove me, I can claim your property as my own, and you should pay for me to move the rest of my family in.

Citzenship for those who chose to break the law means that only some laws matter, others are meant to be broken. The illegal invaders are not going to “go to the back of the line” when there is zero encouragement to do so. I've heard Newt and others like him say, "An open path to citizenship is not Amnesty."

Let's remind Professor Newt of the dictionary meaning so he's not confused....

Amnesty (from the Greek ἀμνηστία amnestia, oblivion)[citation needed]> is a legislative or executive act by which a state restores those who may have been guilty of an offense against it to the positions of innocent people. It includes more than pardon, in as much as it obliterates all legal remembrance of the offense. The word has the same root as amnesia. Amnesty is more and more used to express 'freedom' and the time when prisoners can go free.

A 'path to citizenship' for someone who has repeatedly broken the law is amnesty.

Newt’s "comprehensive" plan is nothing more than the same closet amnesty Bush proposed....empty words with ZERO enforcement. A couple of raids, a trip to the border for a quick photo op, and it’s back to BUSINESS AS USUAL. They’re not going to “go to the back of the line” when ther is zero encouragement to do so.

If you’re here illegally, it doesn’t matter if you committed the crime yesterday or anytime since 1986, you broke the law and should not be allowed to stay or gain citizenship. You think deporting illegals won’t work? It worked for Eisenhower with less manpower...

OPERATION: WETBACK

I guess the “professor” doesn’t learn from history. You just have to put someone in charge with the ‘stones’ to get it done instead of making excuses for not enforcing the laws already on the books. Enforcing the laws already on the books (including the border fence) would be good start in making the job easier. NO MORE AMNESTY!
