(SCOTTSDALE, AZ) - An unarmed Arizona grandfather was blasted in the head this week by a police officer who killed the man because he "thought" he had a weapon. This was the particular officer's sixth fatal shooting in the line of duty, it happened Tuesday night in Scottsdale, "There were at least three officers in position to engage the suspect. At least one of the officers thought he saw something in the suspect's hands," Scottsdale Police Sgt. Mark Clark told Arizona's KPNX.

Did they smile and say hello back, if so, then it seems you answered your orginal question.....last week
Spring Lake, at the Jersey Shore. I usually start at the Spring Lake/Belmar border. Depending on the wind direction (I prefer a tailwind on the return leg, 'cause I'm old) I'll head south through Spring Lake or north through Belmar.
I appears that some police bashers here unwittingly take the media's bait, and some who knowingly want to see a breakdown of society.
I have lived next door to white trash who would happily put their cans right in the middle of the sidewalk to piss off neighbors, and left a POS car in front of my house for weeks with a flat tire.
Good chance this guy had had it with the trash next door and had a history of confronting them himself, finding the cops probably would do nothing. Still, if he was armed patrolling the sidewalk, no excuse, inviting trouble.
Because he did not have one on him when he was standing outdoors. There was a loaded shotgun leaned up against the wall inside the door and a loaded handgun inside the room tucked between the sofa pads. He was heading in that direction when he was shot.
Try this one. It give much more information. If you want more, do a search. There are several articles on it.
I think you have a point although over all it appears this guy was trigger happy
If you think the guy has a gun and he is holding a baby the fear is he will point the gun at the baby ....then what? It gets a lot more complicated
It sounds like the cops didnt know he even had a baby in his arms however.
There are also a lot of suicides by cops going on and this might be one
‘The man holding the baby was reaching for a gun.’
reaching for a gun, my butt. stop making sh*t up.
I don’t see anything that required the police to execute the man.
If they really wanted to take the man into custody without hurting him or the baby, why not use a tranquilizer? Why execute him without a trial?
They are SWAT. Why don’t they have ‘Special Weapons and Tactics’ that actually save lives? Or is SWAT used only for killing?
Instead, he was just murdered.
And, yes, we the people are the ‘oversight’ in our community, so it is our duty to question everything.
Murder without due process.
There’s an agenda for sure.
I don’t make stuff up. I live in Phoenix and I have watched and listened to local news and talk radio about this subject.
Trigger happy cop. Hope he gets what he deserves.
After you read the article linked in post #30, I expect you to be making a few apologies. But you probably won’t.
However I stand by my belief that there are a lot of power drunk officers in this country who should not have a badge and gun.
I speak from personal experience on that matter. So as I see it one apology is in order.
One of my comments to you was out of order, based only on the scant info in this article.I should have waited till more info was available. You have my regrets for that comment.I stand by my comments that there are way too many power drunk officers in this country who should not have a badge and gun.
I agree with that statement 100%. It's a case of the 90% making the 10% look bad.
I actually have respect for anyone who willingly puts a target on their back each morning to go to work, but like you said the few make it bad for all.
Roid Rage.
You are getting your information from a corrupted media that hates cops because they hate all authority. They believe that every conservative is evil and that every cop is a conservative.
