This seems to be based on the hypothesis that Alzheimer’s is caused by inflammation.

There might be existing drugs that do not need to be injected into the spine that could work, too. I hope that researchers are following up on that approach.

So Enbrel inhibits TNF. Receiving injection in the neck region of the spinal canal is not a pleasant experience, but hey, if you don’t remember the pain, what is there to lose? I look forward to continued improvement of delivery systems and long-term help for these patients. The article said nothing about the frequency of dosing??

Sadly, we tried Enbrel with my mother and it didn’t reverse anything.

It is possible that the conditions of the treatment have changed over the last few years, but I firmly believe that Alzheimer’s Disease is entirely subjective to the afflicted.

It’s a terrible disease and for what I know, it is genetic.

I try to live a different life than my mother. Excercise more, drink more water, eat lots of fresh coconut and cook with coconut oils (search that). I will probably inherit this or pass it on to my children.

I hope not neccessarily for a cure, but for something that will eliminate the dimentia entirley.

Being forgetful is not entirely bad, but being in the grip of confusion and terror is miserable.

This is an old story, from 2008, and there doesn’t seem to be much new information on it since then. Makes you wonder how valid it is.
