If the FL legislature is largely Repub and conservative, why did they create a hostile new district for West?

Because the rats got an innocuous sounding constitutional amendment on the ballot in 2010. No Congressional district can be drawn to favor or disfavor any politician. It was designed to remove the drawing of district lines from the pubbie legislature and place it with the 5-2 radical lib supreme court.

It worked. The stinkin’ court decides Congressional district boundaries.
