Here in NY, there are a bunch of “Cold bugs” going around... and the accompanying Laryngitis makes one sound like a tenor BULLFROG. It could be just that simple, or ... comedy central FORGOT that Colbert is a “character” and FIRED him in a Conservative PURGE???
A manager in my office (lower Manhattan) has had laryngitis for the past several days. So, it’s going around, eh?

Yep — I have it (Dallas, TX). My wife had something different (coughs and sneezes), but I got a killer sore throat and the bullfrog voice to go with it.
Thank God I am telecommuting and was at home anyway.
