"Linsanity" has descended on the White House.

White House spokesman Jay Carney says President Barack Obama is tracking the exploits of Jeremy Lin, the sudden star of the New York Knicks.

The point guard from Harvard has come out of nowhere to lead the team on a winning streak and he's captured widespread public attention.

Carney says Lin's game-winning 3-pointer at the end of Tuesday night's game against Toronto was the subject of conversation with the president aboard Marine One on Wednesday morning.

Oh oh. Obama’s endorsements of teams and athletes tend to perform poorly after said endorsement.

Tracking him for what reason? Because he is too outspoken a Christian and Obama needs to find a way to silence him?

I guess it’s better he spend his time doing that, rather than destroying the country.

He seems to be doing a fine job of destroying the country even with the basketball distractions. It only takes a few seconds with a pen to sign Marxist legislation and criminal executive orders.

Tantamount to that goofball campaign commentator who thought George Bush's mention of another man's 'healthy stream' as he pissed along the side of the road would boost Bush's image as a man among cattlemen, surely a necessary quality to have as a presidential candidate.

Makes one shudder to think of what he would have said if his candidate was a female.

Of course, democracies only function properly when “The Press”, which always is quick to proclaim itself the guardian of freedom, holds politicians accountable.

So what are CNN, ABC, The New York Times, Washington Post, Politico, etc. etc. saying about Obama spending so much time on useless trivialities like sports when the unemployment rate is still 1 1/2 times what it was under Bush?

Crickets, that’s what .....

So creepy! I saw a a few news stories online about Jay Carney telling reporters that Obama was “praying for Bobbi Kristina,” Whitney Houston’s 18 year old daughter. I was shocked!
It seems the most powerful man in the world likes to keep up with his pop culture! I picture him logging into TMZ every morning...yeesh.
