The National Anthem at the Supwerbowl, 1881, ten days into the Gulf War (Desert Storm)

Could be this is what Christie was thinking, but could we just give the bashing a break, just for her doing this?

"The National Anthem at the Supwerbowl, 1881"

Brett Favre's first season. I remember it fondly.

Not a fan of her music, but I'd still take her songs over Springsteen's.

Although she did record that performance in the studio, the actual live version at the super bowl was lip-synched.

Yes, and besides just singing that tune so beautifully, she also donated all the proceeds of that song to benefit the troops. When it was re-released after 9/11, she donated all her proceeds to the firefighters and victims’ families.

So, despite the fact that she was a drug addict and not a great example in her personal life, she just might have done more good in the world with a few acts like that than most of the people on this forum will ever accomplish. Just some food for thought...

“And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8
