President Obama has ordered the Pentagon to consider cutting U.S. strategic nuclear forces to as low as 300 deployed warheads—below the number believed to be in China’s arsenal and far fewer than current Russian strategic warhead stocks.
Pentagon and military planners were asked to develop three force levels for the U.S. arsenal of deployed strategic nuclear warheads: a force of 1,100 to 1,000 warheads; a second scenario of between 700 and 800 warheads; and the lowest level of between 300 and 400 warheads.
A congressional official said no president in the past ever told the Pentagon to conduct a review based on specific numbers of warheads.
“In the past, the way it worked was, ‘tell me what the world is like and then tell me what the force should be,’” the official said. “That is not happening in this review.”
The plan for a radical cut in warheads is contained in a review of nuclear weapons ordered by the president in an August directive. The review called the Nuclear Posture Review Implementation Study is nearing completion and could be presented to the president as early as next month.
The plan has come under fire from senior military officers in charge of maintaining nuclear deterrence against Russia, China, and future nuclear rogue states.

People who say President Obama is not dangerous are either blind or fanatics. I have never seen a President work against his country as much as this one. Military commanders should not stand for this. Mr. Obama just keep pushing Americas buttons and you might be surprised. The day will come when you look out your window in the morning and gasp. Im sure a sea of angry veterans and citizens outside your window will strike some fear into that heart. I say step down Mr. President, you have tainted the office enough already.

Think about this idea of his for just a minute....
If an average Trident sub holds 24 missiles or so, and the average warhead load is 4 per missile...(SHOULD be 10..BTW of the “big ones”..)..that is around 100 W.H per boat. with only 300 warheads...I guess that leaves the U.S. with THREE “boomers”!!
SO—what would then happen the the ICBM’S(the few left as it is, anyway..), and the “glide bombs”, like the B-61 and B83... would those be scrapped—or more likely given”new homes” in Iran or Syria—just to “make everything “fair”??
Are we REALLY going to DO AWAY with the “nuclear triad”??!
If someone in office had suggested something even REMOTELY like this, even 15 years ago...THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN ACCUSED OF AN ATTEMPT OF TREASON. And during the “cold war”...they would have been run OUT of OFFICE, for even THINKING of something so insane!!
I guess the demons actually think...that with enough “American Idol” and “dancing with the stars”... the “sheeple” will be distracted long enough...that the dems can turn this into “Amerika”. (no, NOT a misspelling”.... a few here know what I am referring to...)

At the same time, the GOP House has peed all over its self -- trying to avoid any kind of confrontation.
The latter may be enabling the former. Obama is getting what he wants...which encourages him to ask for more.
The Republican House seems intent on getting to November without making any waves. But I wonder if their fraidy cat act isn't resulting in Obama revealing himself prematurely.

I sure hope we do get rid of him in November, sadly I have a bad feeling about it. What will happen when the same people who voted for him last time choose him once again. We all know (some don’t admit it) a lot of people voted for him strictly because of his star status or color. Obama had no business in the white house, his resume did not show the experience required. The famous actor Samuel L Jackson himself admits he voted based on color.

Obama wants us to be attacked for several reasons.
1. He hates America as it is. We get what we deserve in his mind.
2. He becomes a real war president. He think he’ll get reelected as historically they all do. Or he may suspend the election indefinitely if he thinks he can get away with it.
3. Gives him cover to govern ignoring the constitution using emergency powers.
4. By not really defending the country he allows others to take it down, then after being attacked he can appear to be a president who isn’t afraid to ‘defend the country’. It’s pearl harbor all over again, in spirit.
Sounds bad, but perhaps the US really can reduce its nuclear weapons safely. Israel, after all, has several hundred nukes and would leap to our defense if we are attacked.
I don’t think so. It would be suicidal for them. If they launched a nuke at Russia, Israel would immediately be turned into a sheet of glass.
