So the big money scum will now completely control our elections.

I think those who have done well should have an active voice in our election process. These people are the risk takers who embody the Capitalist system of free enterprise. It's the so-called "big money scum" that provide jobs for thousands and are the engine of America's economy. These are the people and corporations who have a stake in our country.

I'm on record as being in full agreement with the Citizens United v. FEC decision. And if Mr. Adelson invests his money in the support of Newt Gingrich, I consider that a very wise choice indeed.

Why are big money people “scum?” Rick, Newt, Mitt and Obama all have their own big money guys donating them. So the big money guys seem to have opinions as diverse as the rest of the population. Ron Paul has also proven you can play in the game with only small money donors, so it’s still an open system. No reason to demonize big money on this one. Bottom line, we can all look at who’s donating to whom, look at what those people believe in, and decide if we agree with them or not when we vote.
