Sean Penn has branded Britain 'colonialist' for its refusal to hand over the Falkland Islands to Argentina. The notoriously left-wing actor said that the UK was being 'ludicrous and archaic by believing it could hold on to what he called the Malvinas Islands of Argentina. Penn, who has no personal connection with the islands at all, added that diplomacy was needed to resolve the issue but that he was firmly on the side of the Argentinians. His comments will incense Britons, Falkland Islanders and the families of those who died in the war in the South Atlantic almost 30 years ago.

It always amazes me that anybody cares or bothers to report on what a bunch of lame brained Hollywood actors think.
"Yaws, a disease that penicillin nearly eradicated 40 years ago..."
"In the 1950s, huge campaigns relying on penicillin injections were run by the colonial powers, and the incidence of the disease was driven down by 95 percent."
"A study of 250 children...published...in The Lancet, showed that...azithromycin...was just as good as...penicillin...at curing yaws."
"Lancet editorial:" "'could facilitate the elimination of this ancient scourge.'
For the incognoscenti: The Lancet is a British medical journal.
The HORRORS of British colonialism!
These days, the industry is only making films for sci-fi adolescent males between the ages of 15 and 33 which leaves Penn out as his movies attract the 4-10 year-old set.

Come and take them.
Solution: Deport Sean Penn to Argentina and keep him there.
I got an idea........ fubo is getting ready to print another boatload of cash, why not use some of it to BUY the falklands and the south georgian islands? would make a pretty cool military and naval base....
I remember 30 years ago, when I starting talking to a young radical who was handing out copies of the Daily Worker at some rally across the street from my college. The headline was blaring about British imperialism in the Falklands, but when I pointed out that the entire population of the islands was British, that Argentinians never settled there, and that the entire invasion by the Argentinians was the effort of a military junta with an atrocious human rights record to divert attention from their domestic failings, the poor guy was left stammering.
