Snap! I’m posting from a hotel room in Pittsburgh. Mr S has surgery at UPMC Shadyside tomorrow. We have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am, so I decided to post tonight. I can listen to Q&R on my tablet!
Prayers up for youz both!
Prayers up! I'm sure everything will be fine! When will he be released?
Probably shouldn't post this but Mrs p6 took a pic of one of he Valentines cakes I made. It's almost 3 inches thick and I made a mess in the kitchen. It didn't turn out too well but Mrs p6 liked it! She can't wait to show her friends at work.
BTW I did make that Hawaiian Chicken I posted yesterday and I used your idea of chicken tenders. They were FINE! There was a two and a half pound bag of boneless, skinless chicken tenders at Shop n Save so I used them after defrosting.
HOWEVER while the dish tasted great the next time I'm going to cook the rice separately. Doing it all at once for so long in the crock pot made it a little mushy. Fine for Mrs p6 and I because we have sensitive teeth though.
whoa... Prayers up for you both! Keep us informed!
Happy St. Valentines Day everybody!
Yep, today he’s getting the pacemaker put in. Prayers appreciated. If yunz will remember, the last pacemaker was contaminated, and that’s when he got the infection that almost killed him. So, I’m a little nervous. He’s far more confident than I am that all will be well.
awww! What a sweetie! Ya done good! I’ll bet she was tickled with it. :o)
Wow, that turned out really nice! How did it taste? Did you make two? You two are a hoot! Since Mr S was going to be in the hospital today, he made me a special Valentine’s Day breakfast on Sunday morning. He made sweet-potato hash browns and omelets garnished with strawberries. The strawberries looked like little hearts. You and Mr S are so wo-man-tic! LOL! Me and Mrs p6 appreciate the effort!
Yep, experience with surgeries tend to make one more trusting of the docs. Good for him and his attitude.
For me, it’s even better because I avoid morphine now that we know it kicks my asset. Frankly, I think surgeries and the follow-up care are really interesting. Drainage tubes stuck inside you really bites but hey...
Those sweet potato fries sound great! It's hard to believe you are up and posting already! Keep us updated if you can.
Will you be listening to Q&R using InTune or another app on your tablet?
Spring has to just around tje corner. Sunday QVC was selling bulbs and flowers...WOO-HOO!
Oh....that morphine! I had never had it and just like you it kicked my butt from here to Columbus and prit near to Cleveland!
Well shazam. The Chicoms may have hacked the drone that landed in Iran. Who would have thunk it?
That was according to DEBKA though.
Prayers for Mr. Sneakers good health and successful surgery today—and prayers for you too—a lot of stress and worry. You’ll be in my thoughts & prayers.
That is so sweet (literally and figuratively)!
Happy Valentines Day to all!
Prayers offered for a sucessful surgery and quick recovery.
One more thing—totally unrelated to anything—but I follow earthquakes on USGS and read a couple of blogs that are related. There has been an uptick in activity along the Jaun de Fuca (Cascadia Seismic Zone) fault line )off coast of Oregon, Washington, Vancouver—well yesterday there was an EQ that was eventually upgraded to a 5.6 in northern California; a couple hours ago, a 5.1 far south in CA—Baja. Those who study these things are getting a little nervous. Just wanted to share.
I noticed that too. Fox mentioned one and then I checked USGS.
Ok. I’ll admit it...I’ll visit OWS Pittsburgh later and learn the true ID of “Fred.”. I like sleuthing...I combine that with my “mom skills” and should have gone into law enforcement.
