Harvard University Professor Alan Dershowitz recently warned Democrats that they will lose the presidential election this year if they stick with Media Matters for America.
Dershowitz, a strong defender of Israel, reportedly made the remark during a press conference earlier this month in which he defended Israel against a group at University of Pennsylvania that is urging the university to boycott, divest and sanction the Jewish state for its longtime dispute with Palestinians over borders and security.
Among the speakers at a conference held by PennBDS (Pennsylvania boycott, divest and sanction) was Max Blumenthal, son of Sidney Blumenthal, a powerful Washington attorney and Bill and Hillary Clinton ally.
Max Blumenthal, a UPenn graduate who used to work with Media Matters, wrote a scathing op-ed for the school newspaper about Dershowitz in which he called the professor "an open advocate of torture" and suggested Dershowitz could be responsible for violence against Israel's critics.
Asked about the article, Dershowitz reportedly recounted the many fallacies in it and then remarked about its author.

He comes down on the right side of a few surprising issues like waterboarding. In that case he basically said was do what you have to do to win but keep your mouth shut.
What are the RATS doing messing around with a nonprofit organization anyway?
Media Matters IS the current Democrat Party....
Yes, there are a few times we have to give Prof. Alan props for being right, and he is on this one, especially about MM. While certainly not perfect, Israel is our only real ally in the part of the world and is really the only functional democracy, so I say better to throw our lot in with them than any of the other Muzzie dictatorships. Even if one happened to pop up here or there that was on our side my guess they’d be about as reliable and stable as a pile of sand.
lets see if the cowards in the GOP have the guts to stand up and play the game the rats always play; call out media matters as extremists, anti-Americans, race baiters, etc, etc...
Yes abortion is "great" and liberals "care". But that is not enough.
C'mon Alan. Come to the dark side. You'll be SO much happier.
You’ve got to be kidding. There’s a better chance of winning the powerball lottery.
Newt is the only one that has the guts to call them out. Sadly, he’s not doing well in the polls. Hopefully, he will have a come back.
I don’t trust Dershowitz. He wanted Bob Grant fired.
People have to remember that Dershowitz is well tuned into the Jewish community and he’s basically saying that the rainmakers in that community are going to keep their wallets closed, and also turn off some of their other ways of helping (i.e., the media), if the Dems keep lining themselves up with organizations that want every Jew dead. In other words, it’s been taking a while, but Jews are starting to figure out what Democrats think of them.
To the many liberal policies that have been miserable failures can now be added anti-Israel divestment. In spite of being boycotted by liberal universities’ endowment funds, Israel has had a thriving economy. It had a 5.1% growth rate during the last quarter, and its unemployment rate is only 5.6%.
If Harvard and its fellow anti-Israel divestment enthusiasts want to help their own country’s economy become as strong as Israel’s, maybe they should divest their shares in American companies.
On some issue’s he is a dirt bag, but a great supporter of Israel, and has a couple of good points...
Mark Levin says they are skirting the election laws and need to be investigated.
The one thing I respect him for is I believe he is sincere. That he has core values, and he truly believes in the positions he takes. Not withstanding that, other than his position on Israel, he is in the enemy camp and I regard him as such.
Max Blumenthal, like his father Sidney, is a leftist shit who poses as a journalist.
Their hate for America is astonishing but is typical of the Democrat’s attack dogs.
A little digging on papa’s past associations might show something interesting.
Media Matters is nothing but a Soros front led by a wacked out closet queen who was dropped by the conservatives because of his weirdness. He is trying to be the Barney Frank of the media but sounds more like Joseph Goebbels.
They Democratic Left today is more like an Charlie Manson family than a loyal opposition.
Now if only black people could do the same.
Since Media Matters is proudly antisemitic, when others write about them, they should refer to “antisemitic Media Matters”, as a matter of fact.
For example, write that “antisemitic Media Matters works on behalf of Obama and the Democrat party.”
Importantly, this reminds everyone who reads what is written that antisemitic Media Matters *is* antisemitic, so the opinions they express are part of that.
For example, in this article that points out that the leader of antisemitic Media Matters is deeply paranoid and suffers from mental illness.
But it also shows how an antisemitic organization strongly influences the MSM, directing how they report the news, and forcing them to fire people that Media Matters opposes.
CNN recently fired all the Jewish staffers in its Israeli office, but kept all of the Muslim Arabs to report news about Israel and the Middle East. Was antisemitic Media Matters to blame for this decision?
The MSM needs to be questioned about the influence antisemitic Media Matters has over them. They should be as horrified as if a neo-Nazi organization controlled what news they reported.
And antisemitic Media Matters does not have any moral high ground higher than neo-Nazi organizations.
Likewise, antisemitic Media Matters is an important part of the Democrat party agenda. This indicates that the Democrat party is still embracing racist organizations, like it used to embrace the Ku Klux Klan and people like them.
I love when the left realizes the left is coming to get them.
