Yes, the graffiti is unsightly, lewd, crude, not very original or artistic; but in the end it doesn’t actually do any damage that the annual coat of paint doesn’t solve.
In fact, that graffiti can serve a useful purpose: decades ago, our coaches made cleaning it a punishment for minor offenses.

I remember many moons ago on one base where I was stationed, we had these huge paper pads in each stall. Everyone used to go in to read what was written there. The pads were tear off so any offensive stuff could be easily removed.
It was kind of an honor if you made the board.
