Wtching ABC, I am totally confused what is so fantastic about what’s been offered on the contraception/religious instituion conflict. Sounds like it is still being offered by the insurance companies and that it will be payed for by the employer. Can anyone explain?
Did Lew just ‘double-down’ on the Catholic church? (Full disclosure...I’m not Catholic.)

Well said. Our enemy, and the enemy of this thread who we’re reporting on every Sunday, is the MEDIA.
Focus people. Hammer the driveby media as they continue to do so to us. Who destroyed Sarah Palin? Who attacked George Bush daily (as he did not often fight back)? Who has supported Obama from day one and NEVER investigated him as they have done Palin, Cain, Gingrich, etc, etc, and every Republican who stands in their way?
I think it should be clear to us all. The MEDIA is our enemy.
Jack Lew, DC can be part of the problem or part of the solution. Jack, you are the problem.

Paul Ryan on ABC,on Medicare going bankrupt. The pres’s health care law takes 1/2 Trillion from Medicare to spend on obamacare.
On contraception proposal - Ryan says this is not a compromise; the pres is treating our consitutional rights as revokable priveledges from our govt. If obama is willing to do this in an election year, imagine what he will be willing to do in the future. This proposal by the pres. is a distiction without a difference. A lot of Catholic institutions are self-insured, so they will be forced to pay the mandates.

Geesh, look at this, I’m trying to channelsurf three shows.
I hear Lew say the WH position will stand, and heard him use the term “religious liberties” instead of Constutional Rights.
Ryan, asked about unpopularity of Congress, defending and explaining many legislative actions of the House, and blaming the obstructive do-nothing RAT Senate.
Santorum up with Stepinawfulpis. He got 18% in Maine without campaigning here. Rick reacting to Myths outrageous lies.

I wrote this before I went to the 4:30 mass yesterday and this was a most interesting experience.
First, Father J conducted the 4:30 mass, something he almost NEVER does. But I was glad to hear it would be him and I pondered if at this late date he would discuss this contraception issue.
Comes time for the homily, Father J approaches the pulpit, BANGS his fist on the podium, and with his voice on BOOM setting, says...”Two weeks ago the current administration declared pregnancy a DISEASE!”
I settled in for what I hope would be a roaring few minutes.
Indeed Father J went on, filling in all the details, us parishioners all spellbound, me so proud of my church that was standing up for its principles as it always has. Like them or not, the Catholic church took a stand on birth control, abortion and sterilization and never backed down despite tremendous pressures to do so.
With more surprise, yesterday being the day after Obama’s big “compromise”, Father J even touched this subject, telling us what Obamer offered...ie “free” contraception and day-after pills, always with his BOOM voice on. He put his hands to the side of the podium in a clench and lowered his head conspiratorally.
“Does anybody think this contraception is really going to be free?” he boom-whispered.
A child, oh maybe about four years old, shouted out, “NO”.
Of course we all broke out in laughter at such good timing but Father J used the interlude well. “Even the children get it,” he said.
He went on to explain that Obamer said that the health insurers would be able to save money on delivery rooms, OB’s and such, thus the funds to provide free contraceptives.
He then lowered his voice to a boom-whisper once again. I paraphrase: “Watch out you senior citizens. Because if he’s willing to save money on the unborn, what makes you think he won’t want to save money via euthanasia instead of spending money extending the lives of the elder?”
It was a stem-winder all right.
I think, just tween you and I, that Father J deliberately conducted this mass he so seldom does specifically BECAUSE there were complaints that the other priest did not address the issue.
Just a hunch. He has my admiration and I shall tell him so next time I see him.
On a final note, before sending us on our way, Father J asked if we’d did like the Bishop asked and contacted our local politicos.
I put very little stock in Boehner's words which is a direct result of his past in-actions and deceptions. He, like a number of them, loves to get face time and credit on safe positions. Just as my congressman, Mike Simpson R,ID., in the last election said "WE have to get back to the Constitution" but fell in with the establishment republicans when it came to the issue of cutting the debt and didn't support TEA Party positions.
They just mouth nice sound bites without any intention whatsoever of fulfilling their words! Because of my situation here and degree of difficulty communicating, my efforts appear tø be going downhill and to the negative so my replies will be few and far between .............no offense intended! :O)
I can see why hack lew is the new chief of Staff,he's so far up zero's butt he can't see.
Everything is our fault,budget, renewing the cut in SS tax which helps destroy the fund etc., etc.true socialist. DNC dave trying to get rid of the 1,000 days with no budget problem lew blames it on the Senate,they refuse to bow to obama.
Now DNC dave trying to get rid of austerity/budget cuts(these guys are so slick in their wording/phrasing) program cost cutting,slick words. Lew says it would destroy the economy. We need massive govt. spending. He's a true socialist. ,Payroll tax holiday instead of saying destroying SS fund. These guys have slick wording for everything. No austerity/budget cuts since business is bad--in rat language that means we never cut spending only add on.True socialist/Marxist lets destroy capitalism theology.
Its also about govt. takeover under obmacare and govt fiat.
