Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, the colorful and controversial spokesman for the city after the devastating Hurricane Katrina in 2005, is under investigation by federal authorities, a source with direct knowledge of the probe said.

The source told Reuters on Friday that several people linked to Nagin or the New Orleans city administration during his two terms as mayor ending in 2010 were cooperating with the U.S. Justice Department and the FBI

He must have really pi$$ed of someone in the Food Stamp President’s administration to have Eric the Bigot go after him ... Eric just doesn’t go after “his people” without a significant reason. Did Nagin keep some of the loot from a gun running, money laundering, drug dealing, sex trafficking, etc. Food Stamp President operation?

Since leaving office in 2010, speculation has swirled that Nagin would eventually become the target of a federal probe after a former associate and close personal friend pleaded guilty to conspiring to defraud the city.

The Landreau family is who needs to be investigated.
The buses were a result of Aunt Phillis Landreau who as president of the local school board would not release the buses. The houses in the ninth ward were mostly rental properties own by three corporations that repeatedly used HUD funding to revitalize (but who never got the repairs done) Charged the government large sums for rent through HUD. All set up by Ol man Landreau who set the HUD program up under Jimmy Carter.

Check out the archives in the local Paper (Piceheaun sp). They were investigating the fraud when Katrina hit.

Laudrea’s Uncle/brother is connected to BO in Chicago and the slum real estate of Valerie Jarrett IIRC.

Also the Rogers, that resigned earlier from the WH social department has the Chicago/New Orleans connection.

It’s quite of web of corruption and fraud all connected to political families and who’s who in the drug/real estate/money laudering.

Don’t expect them to look into Landreau, but they will go after Nagin as a favor to the family. Corruption in the city is second only to Chicago.
