Anyone else but me remember how this story about Boehner and his mistresses surfaced and then disappeared before the 2010 mid term election?
Refresh me on the particulars. Boehner was the minority whip since 2006 when Pelosi became House speaker. So the dems were in power in Congress when all the Fanny and Freddie, etc stuff hit the fan. Boehner was the top guy for the R’s in the House.

After the landslide happened in 2010 was there anybody who challenged Boehner to be the Speaker of the House? How did that go?

Who was been the R leader of the Senate between 2006 until now? I know I should know it but my mind is having a brain freeze right now. I’m trying to sort out a bunch of stuff.
