Before an approving crowd of thousands at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), the former House speaker laid out a cluttered schedule that would repudiate "at least 40 percent of (President Barack Obama's) government on the opening day."
"When the Congress comes in (in early January) it will stay in session and by January 20th, it will have repealed 'Obamacare,'" Gingrich said to a loud roar, referring to the president's landmark legislation that has helped provide coverage for tens of millions of uninsured Americans.
Also going under the axe would be the Dodd-Frank bill on Wall Street reform and the Sarbanes-Oxley bill on corporate accountability reform.
"That afternoon on the very first day, we should sign the repeal of all three. That's a reasonable start."
He also would immediately approve a controversial Canada-US oil pipeline, "abolish all of the White House czars," and shift the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

Whew. I’m actually amazed that one day would suffice to undo almost half of it. Assuming that the lame duck Obama doesn’t try to get revenge in advance by issuing something like a literal million EOs.
Keep them coming!
Checking the UK and European news and he is still off the radar.
Soon as I find an article on Newt I’ll post it.
His speech was EVERYTHING that is best about America.
It has?
Newt did good this afternoon. Quite a few people are still smiling at the thought of that amazing first day.
It’s expected to co-opt the health care of tens of millions of Americans, a great deal of whom lost their private coverage due to Obamacare burdens.
A great start that would put back confidence back in our economy so businesses can start to think about growing their business and hiring people. Get rid of agencies like the EPA and the onerous regulations they issue and we will see a huge turn around.
She was so adorable wasn’t she? She reminded me, with a few of her inflections, like someone giving an address in a high school auditorium. She was obviously scared out of her mind... but I have seen her many times, and she is genuine. I mean genuine. She looks at people, actually listens without trying to look she is listening, and she touches people, on their elbows, I saw her straighten one old lady’s sweater before she went out into the cold.
There are some major issues - like how to get Dana Perino’s hair on her head? And get her wardrobe at least into the late early 90s. I think she is afraid to go out on the campaign on her own because of the exmistress stuff she is likely to encounter...
In my prayers!!
Mine too. Keep the faith.
God be with Newt Gingrich.
He has to win this.
Amen and amen!!
I think he knows enough about DC too, that he is trying to pre-empt another lame duck or end of the year session like last year’s fiasco and before, where all kind of stuff was done late at night... As the incoming President, he wants Congress in session on January 3rd, and the legislation written for him to sign on Inauguration Day... he says he will need a strong house and senate of conservatives behind him... What if he could actually do that... If his calcs are right, and that first day undoes 40% of barack’s agenda, then there’s hope again... hope again.
I’ve watched his speech four times already!
Watching the others live.. Newt’s was by far the best of the three candidates’ speeches! There was really something to it.
With the current gridlocked Congress, lame-ducking will go nowhere.

bttt to your bttt.
Newt IS the man for the job. I believe he can unite the Country and get us back on track. He’ll pick up the “Reagan Democrats”.
Newt is easily the most presidential of all 4 contenders.
