Newt has the gift. Just wish he’d been more consistent since ‘94.
While Newt Gingrich was Speaker of the House, earmarks nearly doubled to $14.5 billion.

“earmarks nearly doubled to $14.5 billion”
Is that you Mitt?
No really, this is the least important issue, in fact it isn’t even an issue except with morons who do not understand the Constitution.
Newt’s speech was DYNAMITE!!!
Folks got out of their seats, stood and applauded.
I didnt see the other speeches for long; therefore, I cant compare.
Newt is the only one who says what he is going to do to rectify the bad situation the U.S. is in and how he is going to get there.
The rest leave out the second part out. They never offer a solution.
$14.5 billion? Isn’t that what Obama spends every minute of the day? / sarc
“While Newt Gingrich was Speaker of the House, earmarks nearly doubled to $14.5 billion.”
And that was his fault? With all the crap he was trying to clean up and rectify?
Where were you to help?
Absolutely fantastic speech. The Republican Party needs to adopt everyone of his proposals and make it part of the platform and extract an oath by all candidates that they will enact each item (I know they won’t do that, but we conservatives should attempt to force it).
Whew!! I just love a good red meat and potatoes speech. And, you can tell he means it.
Newt Gingrich voted in favor of creating Jimmy Carter’s Department of Education.
You have trouble hearing.
I am sorry for your handicap.
Santorum was . . . well, Santorum. He said all the right things and was about as exciting as cooked cabbage. The man has no charisma whatsoever and he lacks any real vision. He’s a good solid conservative, but to say he’s uninspiring is minimizing it.
No, your the one who has hard of hearing, Newt’s done, his biggest donor Sheldon Adelson has pulled the plug on his campaign...
No true conservative will support earmarks. The point is that the legislative antic of earmarks has been going on up on the Hill for years by both parties. It needs to stop, but it didn't begin on Newt's watch. He may not have stopped it when he was there, but he didn't start it either. If you ask him today, I bet he will tell you he wants it to stop.
Hate to break it to you Newt supporters... Newt is done, finished as a Presidential candidate,,, his biggest donor Sheldon Adelson has pulled the plug on Newt’s Presidential campaign, I guess Sheldon Adelson has seen the writing on the wall...
