MILWAUKEE - You might be a skeptical of petition problems Michael Zore brought to TODAY'S TMJ4 because of his background. Zore was convicted of voter fraud five years ago after he claims he accidentally voted twice in the same election.
"The goal for the whole of process is transparency," Zore told TODAY'S TMJ4 reporter Tom Murray.
Turns out, this career computer guru uncovered a problem that took the Wisconsin Government Accountability Board most of the day to explain. He discovered hundreds of pages of petitions missing from the GAB's website.
"Scanning forms in and posting them to a website should be a simple process," Zore said. "It's a very simple process to check those things."
Zore wrote a computer program to check postings for Governor Scott Walker and Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch. Petitions on the GAB website were logged, given a unique number and posted in numerical order in 50 page increments. Zore found dozens of incidents where those 50 page increments are missing.
Larry Gamble of the conservative Verify The Recall group looked at Zore's findings.
"I looked for myself and exactly as you described, there's gaps in the files they have loaded," Gamble said.
The Government Accountability Board reviewed Zore's numbers. A spokesperson insists many of the files Zore identified are on their site, just numbered incorrectly. The GAB does concede about 250 petitions are not posted online anywhere.
The GAB planned to work on fixing the problems Wednesday night and have them fixed by Thursday. The spokesperson said the GAB "appreciates the public's attention to detail, called the errors "clerical" and "inadvertent."
Am I right in assuming that GAB is run by the usual Democrat mobsters?
These guys don’t miss a dirty trick, so they?
Right, and then they blame it on “clerical” error.
Another for the Wisconsin ping list, pretty please? Thanks!
I heard that the only Republican appointee to the GAB resigned in January. Does anybody know if this is true?

Well, they were all appointed by the previous governor, I believe...
