Some Republicans expressed concern that Mitt Romney's campaign is stuck in neutral and limping, not lunging, toward the party's U.S. presidential nomination.
Even before Rick Santorum's sweep of contests in Colorado, Minnesota and Missouri Tuesday, the Romney campaign was getting warnings and advice from Republicans concerned about the former Massachusetts governor's performance on the stump, which hasn't improved since the state caucuses and primaries began early in January,

Yes, this can be seen in his previous campaigns- I will not change or chip away at (fill in blank). He’s said the same, recently, about federal firearms laws, I will not change them.
I wonder what he’d really do as President. Look at all the stuff that happened in Massachusetts with him as Governor, and none of it was because of a decision he made! He was either forced into doing it by circumstances beyond his control (gay marriage, homosexual adoptions) or it somehow just happened.
Like keeping uniformed Boy Scouts out of the Olympics, apparently nobody made that decision, but it was not to be changed or challenged.
Newt has taken the heat, and were it not for Newt Romney would probably coasted on to the nomination. Newt made Romney expose himself.
I read a piece recently that Paul and Milt are close friends. Someone argued last night that Paul is the real stalking horse for Milt and that if the delegate count gets close, Paul will throw his to Milt in return for Rand being VP. Makes as much sense as anything on this weird relationship.
The funny thing is that Mitt has probably never seen the inside of a bar.
IT'S NOT US; IT'S YOU.
As with gay marriage, so with contraceptions under Romneycare. He blames the courts when it was the interpretation of his lawyers, he blames the legislature when it was the interpretation of his lawyers — and then he goes ahead with his liberal decision.
what do you mean not positive.....why just the other day he told a conservative audience he was "for America".
I am a Newt guy, but Santorum does get praise for his economic ideas from Wall Street Journal and IBD.
Thought of that too. First thing that came to my mind....Shirley Temple?
He is an odd duck, isn’t he?
how do you retool a doofus?
I believe there is a possibility that Paul and Romney have made a deal that RP will not run 3rd party if Romney gets the nomination and that Romney will select Rand Paul for VEEP and that Paul will spend and attack any candidate who gets near or ahead of Romney.
The Rand Paul VEEP selection would make sense as Ky. is far enough South and he is perceived to be Conservative and to have Tea Party support. I believe he’s un-principled enough to enter into such a deal by the way he lied about “Breaking News” to get on Hannity’s show to read a letter he had written to an Iowa newspaper denigrating Gingrich.
Someone and I believe it was Oliver North once said “The thing about paranoia is that you only have to be right once to make it worthwhile”
No, BASIC.
Like this wasn’t the obvious outcome of Mittens crapping his own bed....
He is one dumb SOB......
Mittens is done...he just doesn’t know it yet....
I actually voted for Romney in the 2008 primary because I thought that he would be better than McCain or Huckabee. Hard to believe, much less admit.
If you think about it, Romney’s two wins have been in states with same day registration allowed and no Democrat primary to compete. I think that Rpmney’s broad support may have been a carefully constructed and very expensive illusion.
“That is one of the classic problems with using deep personal attacks and the personal destruction approach.”
As Rev. Wright would say: “de chickens have done come home to roost.” Romney will now reap what he has sown. At the end of the day, people are beginning to recognize that Romney doesn’t have any plan, except to win at any cost. It’s just another way that he’s just like Obama.
ABR: It doesn’t matter what language Romney uses; look at his record. He’s a liberal! It’s telling that the media only think that their “chosen” candidate whomever that may be Romney, Obama, McCainiac, etc.. it’s about “messagaging” and not about policy..WAKE UP CALL INDEED!
