The question I have is “what is the law?” If the law provides for the authority for the executive branch to set such a mandate, the law is unconstitutional and needs to be challenged and repealed. (Supreme court says it is a nullity by precedent, if i’m not mistaken.) This action should be both through the courts and through the congress.
We cannot stand for a government that thinks it has this kind of authority over the people of the USA.
I believe “deprivation of rights under the color of law” is a felony. Lets serve up some *criminal* papers.
'Sheeple Mind' (a subtitle of political correctness) is as threatening as any killer virus. Our 'resistance' is being challenged/tested. . .
I doubt it. They already have the exemptions Ladyboy denies to Christians.
“The move comes as several prominent Democratic lawmakers have ...” put on a show of opposing the regulation to build their support among moderates and conservatives- with the media’s help.
Dems get the ‘Emily List’ type’s donations and support- and the religious vote.
What a successful campaign by the media!
If they want to know how truly radical and anti-life he is, they need look no further than his time in the Illinois state senate where he advocated for leaving a baby who survived an abortion on the cutting room floor with no assistance allowed. That is reason alone to cut themselves off from all negotiation with this pro-death administration.
-—Obama is going to use Hegelian dialect synthesis to get around this.
It isnt going to work. A compromise does not work when confronted by dogmtic belief.-—
Astute observation.
I think he’s counting on the bishops caving. They can’t. So fines will ensue. Then the bishops will command Catholics not to pay the fines (payment would validate this null law).
Somewhere along this line Obama will have to back down. Where is anyone’s guess.
Well, that is wrong too. The gov passes onerous laws, then grants waivers and passes to whomever it deems worthy, whether for political expediency, votes, money, or whatever. That is so third world thuggish tinpot dictator cr@p.
“Somewhere along this line Obama will have to back down.”
Did Hitler back down? And who is willing to stop him? The only way to stop him would be to physically remove his kingship from office.
Short of a complete reversal, an apology and a promise not to ever try this again (yes, US Catholic bishops will be duped by a promise), Catholics won’t accept a compromise.
Obama has stepped in it big time.
He has made it clear where he intends to go with Obamacare. Freepers knew this already. Obama’s mistake was doing it before the election - now everyone (even Catholic bishops) are going to question his intent.
Hes on the run dont settle for his opening bid.
Absolutely. The Catholic church should demand no less. A happy face smile and phoney handshake isn't going to cut it.
All that needs to be said, in my opinion, is Behold the Liberal Wannabe Dictator’s lies.
The Regime started a fire and now they’re trying to put it out. What a pathetic attempt to fool whom? Themselves?
The Tea Party better show that they’re alive and ready to defend our freedom at the ballot box this November.
“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”
Some of the Sunday shows tape today....
That’s it, exactly.
Where did you find that ?
“Somewhere along this line Obama will have to back down. Where is anyones guess.”
The next phase is demonization of the opposition. He and his minions must try to isolate the Catholic hierarchy from the rest of the Christians who, quite frankly, while well meaning and sincere, do not have the centrality of organization to resist for any length of time.
I expect, after this “accomodation” is resisted the whole sex scandal will re-erupt with the addition of some sensationally spurious charges with no basis in fact but propaganda. Also, the Churches history will be painted as completely evil.
Hold onto your socks.
Mr. President, with all due respect, we don’t want you to accomdate anyone. We want you to comply with the Free Exercise Clause of the First Amendment.
