After reading the first two chapters of Tricia Ericson’s book CAN MITT ROMNEY SERVE TWO MASTERS on Amazon and the above article.
It seems a possibility that Mitt removed Michael Steele because of the anti any one of color, or not being able to manipulate Steele, Mitt then replaced him with a compliant man at the top who allowes him to place his people in positions within the RNC.
What do you think?

I think you are crazy. Steele got dumped because fundraising was less than expected. The election to replace Steele went about 6 ballots. This is stupid. If you organize a coup you make sure it does not go 6 ballots or you don’t do a coup.

Hi Hoosiermama-
Well, I think there are a lot of folks angry w/the GOP and venting about it ...not surprising; we're all angry w/the GOP elitists!
Everyone who has read my posts knows how I feel about Romney; however, criticizing someone’s religion always worries me; because it appears to strike at the very heart of the Constitution and our system of government which I believe in so deeply. (You should understand that I have only known a very few Mormon's personally; and, of those I have known, all appeared to be decent, honest people.)
That said, there are some real “horror story” exposee’s being posted on FR from individuals purporting to have broken free from the Mormon Church.
So, I am both alert and concerned about this potential; however, it is also possible that these posts are not factual or relate only to some extreme faction of the Mormon Church. For instance, I am not a Baptist; however, I have quite a few Baptist friends and I doubt they would want to be characterized as being the same as those jerks in KS who claim to be “Baptists” when they picket the funerals of service members.
So, I am still trying to form an opinion on the Mormon Church and it's policies/values. But whatever opinion I arrive at; it will not make my opinion of Romney any better; and, for me, that is the most significant thing to stay focused upon.
Even if the allegations are true about the Mormon Church; it is always politically dangerous to pursue that type of criticism as most Americans are instinctively sensitive and repelled by any criticism of someone’s religion. In essence, the “knee jerk” factor would not be in favor of those criticizing Romney for his being a member of the Mormon Church.
I think I will order the book from Amazon and see what Ms Ericson has to say.
Take care,
-Geoff
