PLANO, Texas Standing in front of a massive crowd at a rally in Plano, Texas, Rick Santorum unleashed criticism of Barack Obama and threw out some campaign red meat to supporters hungry for it, telling them the president has an overt hostility to faith.
(Hes) trying to weaken them, churches, trying to say that anybody who believes in the values of the Judeo Christian policies, Santorum said to about 2,000 people in a converted barn, one of his largest audiences of the campaign.
He told the audience at the raucous rally that Obama is restricting religious freedoms in this country, and even that a situation like the French Revolution could happen in America. As he spoke supporters yelled, We want Rick! and We want you! throughout the speech.

I once thought that Rick didn’t have charisma, but I have changed my mind. Rick is the most personable of all the presidential candidates, especially Obama.
Ditto
People should watch his victory speech from Tuesdays 3 run homer of those 3 states on “ FREEDOM “
Can Rick Santorum Ride His Big Mo to Knock Newt Gingrich Out? by Ben Jacobs Feb 9, 2012 4:45 AM EST Santorums Midwestern caucus hat trick has energized his campaign and brought in new supporters and money. Now his campaign will try to ride the momentum to remove Newt from the picture and make it a Romney-Santorum race. Rick Santorum has an Internet problem, and no, its not that problem. After his big wins Tuesday night, Santorums campaign website has been overwhelmed by traffic, and according to top campaign strategist John Brabender, it's had trouble processing the sheer number of donations. He said, So many people were going to contribute that we quickly blew up the server, and that traffic was much higher than it had been even after the former Pennsylvania senators narrow win in Iowa. In fact, for the first time, the campaigns biggest problem was keeping everyone happy who wanted Santorum to appear on their television program. Santorum had made it. He had won more states than any other candidate and was finally getting headlines. It still doesnt make him the frontrunner or even level with Mitt Romney, but it does change the dynamics of the campaign. The goal of Santorums campaign had long been to knock Newt Gingrich out of the picture and make the race a two-man battle between Santorum and Romney. Between his wins on Tuesday and Gingrichs implosion since his win in South Carolina, Santorum has made significant progress toward achieving that goal. Gingrich has been hurt by a combination of poor debate performances and the emergence of many longtime critics from the woodwork, the most vociferous of whom, former congressman Bob Dornan, described him to The Daily Beast as a lying, betraying ... creep of a human being
worst person I served with in either party. While Dornans language may be rather extreme, it does give a good sense of the strong emotions Gingrich inspired among his Republican colleagues while serving in Congress.
BTTT
I agree, and with the constant mutual destruction between Romney and Gingrich, Santorum`s debating abilities have been overlooked and underrated. I think he`s actually quite good at landing the hits when and where needed.
After Perry, I’ve been lost trying to get behind someone. Newt is good and I’ve gotten over my initial mistrust, but I don’t understand his strategy and ignoring certain states. Rick just plows ahead and I’m pleasantly surprised at his focus and backbone! This primary season has been one heck of a ride! Remember when Newt and Rick were down in the numbers with Johnson and Huntsman? Crazy.
You ain’t kidding. I still love all the FReepers, despite some of the differences for the time being, and we will close ranks no doubt soon enough it seems, and turn to the main target. Just pray Romney is not the nominee, that’s all I can say. Then it is really going to be in a state of organized chaos.
This is very good news. Rick Santorum is my 4th choice, but I still think he is a fair to good choice.
While I prefer Ron Paul, I could be very happy with Rick Santorum as our nominee and President.
And of course we all know that Santorum can’t win anything or raise any money and must step aside for Newt....
“Santorum`s debating abilities have been overlooked and underrated.”
I think that debating skills in general have been overrated this election cycle. I think the belief is that we need a good debater to go up against barky. But do we really believe that barky will agree to more than one or two debates anyway? He’d be a fool to do so.
What’s going to win this election is organization and turnout of your base.
It looks like Brother Santorum is getting some of that traction thingy. And not a moment too soon.
This is the first week in awhile where I’ve thought that the election news was actually looking up.
Are you at the point of switching horses?
God is in charge...

Rick is riding the wave of indignation at Zero from his attack on religious institutions. He could do well, but he needs a speech coach to help him learn how to deliver a speech. He builds no passion in his audience. You need a certain cadence and pitch to your voice to deliver a good speech and Santorum doesn’t have it. Mitt crushes him in that department.
I will not be switching horses. I have always been ABO, and ABR.
