I sat on a trial a few years ago where we found a college kid guilty of killing another college kid in a fight. There were more than one, but in the end it came down to the kid on the ground getting kicked in the head which caused his death. I couldn’t convince the rest of the jury on the premeditation due to the alcohol an timing involved, but the kid went to jail for a long time. This WAS attempted murder.

There is no excuse and the officer should be brought up on charges by the prosecutor period. In this case there was no alcohol and even had the driver been drunk there would have been no excuse as he posed no threat. Charges in this case should be preferred.

Wow, somebody actually gets stuck on jury duty!? Next time you are called for jury selection let me know and I'll give you a few pointers on how to get out of it.

Actually thought one of these years I might let them pick me but it seems like such an awful lot of aggrevation to go through a trial.

I'm sure I'd be admonished for getting up out of the jury box and walking around during the proceedings. I'm sure I could not sit still through a trial.
