Clint Eastwoods Halftime in America Chrysler propaganda commercial is taken apart by the great one. Mark Levin.
May be 1/2 time for Clint, But that dope is not going to sell me another movie.
F U C. E.
Someone called onto Rush today, and said he’s got that wrong,it sure isn’t halftime in America; the two minute bell has sounded and we’re 16 trillion behind!!
if it’s played @ half time of the superbowl, do you think it’s in the culture, and, if ol’ rowdy yates had both oars in the water, do you think he would support social liberalism? wt*
Clint Eastwood was also responsible for the recent J. Edgar film. The Free Republic article is: Review of Eastwood's J.Edgar [Yes, it is awful!].
The pics not clickable.
Thanks. Sorry!
I would have preferred to say it was Wrestle-mania in America, and the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes has to face off against the Undertaker, the Iron Sheik, Roddy Piper, Ric Flair, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Jake “the snake” Roberts, and Rick Rude. It might taken two full hours, but Dusty would have cleaned house, and made everyone in the arena shed a tear or two.
That was actually Jay Leno’s line and who Rush was crediting as having the best take on this...
RUSH: Jay Leno had the best spin on this. Jay Leno had the best line. Last night, Jay Leno said, “It may be halftime in America, but China’s got the ball and we’re down by 16 trillion.” I can’t think of a better way of putting it. Jay Leno.
“Rush: Clint Eastwood Super Bowl Ad Parody”
Thank you. I’ve been looking for this one, too.
I don’t see what the hub bub is all about. Although sections of Detroit still looks ramshackle in spots.
I may be naive, but I thought Eastwood was merely trying to celebrate the traditional American fighting spirit. I suppose
if Leno had been around to listen to Roosevelt’s Pearl Harbor
speech, he would have had something cute to say.
Eastwood was probably trying to do that, but the people at the ad company who wrote this ad worked for Obama. They were trying to put out a propoganda piece.
When I saw the ad during Super Bowl, I immediately thought that it was a thinly-veiled message to voters that they needed to reinstate zero so he could play out the second half (second term) in order to restore the US to greatness. (barf)
Of course, this was after seeing a graphic on Facebook stating, “Bush took 8 years to break it, Obama needs 8 years to fix it”. (mega barf)
In This Fiat ad that aired during the Super Bowl, Clint Eastwood wandered like a senile pensioner through some steamy concrete jungle while lecturing us like a cranky old neighbor about the value of an automaker that has been bailed out more than a leaky rowboat. That’s lousy advertising.
This link is what the commercial should have been. This is great!
