By MICHAEL R. CRITTENDEN And NEIL KING JR. Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum handily won Missouri's primary election Tuesday night and was showing signs of strength in Minnesota's caucuses, threatening to deal national front-runner Mitt Romney a setback in two Midwestern states.
With results from Colorado just trickling in, the returns from the other two states holding nominating contests Tuesday looked to give a jolt of momentum to Mr. Santorum, a former Pennsylvania senator.

hallelujah. good news. looks like the Lord is making a way for us conservatives against all the odds, the pundits and the ruling classes of both parties. and as for those lost delegates, that can change at the convention.
i’m sending another check to santorum (and gingrich. i still sense he has a big part to play in beating down romney as well). maybe there is even still hope for us lost ones in california, if romney gets taken out in the next few weeks.
We’re in a good mood tonight, Hinkley.
What’s yer prob?
Congrats to Senator Santorum for his victory and sticking it out.
Kind of sad some people don’t even think the state of Missouri is worth $100.
I guess that money could be better spent on jewelry, a cruise, or some Climate Change Institute.
Why are freepers so nasty?
And I include you because of your snotty reply to the Kate person.
We can’t ever have a thread anymore without people being at each other’s throats.
I’m for Newt but I’m glad someone beat Romney. If it meant nothing at all, why do it.
Yes, Mitt you do have one thing right: NO ONE LIKES YOU.
I'm for Gingrich, but Santorum is slightly better than Mitt.
I'm also glad Newt and Rick called a truce for the moment.
Im sick of phonies! If you are so insecure that you have to dye your hair or paste on your eyebrows you are trying to lie to your self.

I don’t think Rick Santorum dyes his hair or pastes on his eyebrows.
May there be many more.
I don’t think Santorum dyes his hair either, but if someone can blast him out of those sweaters, I’ll appreciate it.
in March Missourians will have their caucuses. THIS GIVE THE “BIG MO” TO SANTORUM.
I’m proud to have been born in Missouri (pronounced Missourah, where my people are from). It, and my current home state were admitted into the Union on the razor’s edge of American politics. We’ve a foot in both State’s rights and the Union, and are prone to march to our own drum beat.
Today, and the first Tuesday this coming November will evidence this trait.
ANYBODY BUT ROMNEY
ANYBODY BUT O'ROMNEY.
It was extremely close during CWI, as well. Fielded regular units to both sides of the conflict, as well as the infamous Guerillas.
A Union state that had the western tier of counties vacated by general order in an attempt to defuse the border war...
Hi, happy about that:)
looks like Rick is winning 2 states
Agreed. I have both Newt and Santorum on my Facebook news feed, and easily 50% of the Santorum comments (the ones from fans, not from the campaign) are just anti-Newt smears.
Right now my first choice is Newt, mainly because I think he’s got the brains and experience to put the conservative vision into practice more effectively than Santorum can. But I’d be hard-pressed to choose between a Newt-West and a Newt-Santorum ticket.
