Over the last decade, conservatives have enjoyed Fox News, a national news network which has given conservatives a fair shake and which has been willing to expose the bigotry of the establishment media towards conservatism. Yet there is the chance that Fox News, when owner Rupert Murdoch dies, may drift towards the lockstep leftism so characteristic of other news networks.

Fox is the media outlet that’s pounding Holder on F&F.
“Fox News is really horrible.
But its way better than the second best news.”
And, add to that the fact that they still DO cover many (admittedly, not ALL) of the things that the MSM spikes.
Election Night Meltdown, posted at:
Here's a quote from the article:
"Although final assessments of what went wrong are still being prepared by television news operations, most reports fault VNS for providing the bad numbers that resulted in early calls projecting Gore as Floridas winner. NBC and its cable sibling MSNBC declared Florida for Gore at 7:49 p.m. (EST). Over the next 13 minutes, CNN, Fox and CBS followed suit, with ABC not making the false call until 8:02 p.m."
Then farther down, the electoral correction for Bush:
"All of the outlets corrected their Gore gaffe within minutes of each other, beginning with CNN just before 10 p.m. Some four hours later, at 2:16 a.m., Fox News was first to project Floridas 25 electoral votes for Bush, prompting the networks declaration of Bush as the next president. Within four minutes the other networks followed."
I may have recalled wrongly that Fox had been the first network to call Florida for Gore, but they did do it, then back-tracked later after other networks set the record straight. Either way, they were on my $hit list from that time on.
I hear what you are saying and this is one of the reasons Conservatives will NEVER be more than a small group the GOP will make believe they support until elected then drop us like a hot potato (or potatoe).
Why? For Example: Your comment regarding Glenn Beck is shared by many on FR and I guess it demonstrates Conservatives will throw someone under the bus even though 80%-90% of the time they are aligned with our core beliefs.
Name one news organization who dug up more VERIFIABLE dirt on the scum inhabiting the WH right now than Glenn Beck. Yet because Glenn can be emotional, controversial, or what ever Conservatives abandoned him in droves.
I agree, I do not like Glenn's format but where could he go? If he were solely funded by advertising he would have to hold his tongue on things like Obama being a Marxist or the true enemy within this country, George Soros. I subscribed as it is only $1 per week and there still is something to be learned in every show Glenn puts on. On the other hand his radio show stinks on ice IMO.
The reason the democrats have been successful while supporting a 100% provable failure of government strategies is they will support their candidate as long as that candidate holds on to just a couple of core beliefs. Kill the unborn. Make minorities completely dependent on the Federal Government. After that they don't care. That is why you have known terrorists cozy with this administration. Bill Ayres and his ilk are welcome because they support those few core beliefs. They cozy up to SELF AVOWED communists, Marxists, government building bombing radicals... because they like support killing the unborn and love to keep minorities on the plantation.
Hell dumbocraps will even use every Saul Alinsky trick in his dishonest book to throw their support behind Muslims which are another group of SELF AVOWED anti-Americans bent on our destruction. Conservatives however have many more core beliefs and it is almost impossible to find someone who does not stray on one or two of those beliefs.
I would love to have an unashamed conservative cable news station. I would buy it, and I would do what I did for Fox News in their early days. I went around and changed every Sam’s Club, Department store, or other publicly available TV to their station.
It was fun. It was a game. I also made it part of my routine to ask hotels and restaurants if they carried Fox.
After they became mushy centrists, and after they hired so many wacked out lefties (Geraldo comes to mind), I lost all enthusiasm for supporting them. I am glad they still have some conservatives on, but the station as a whole is disappointing.
I would love a true conservative news station, and I think a lot of other Americans (including many lefties who like to get angry) would like it, too.
Fox and Murdoch were never on the right wing side.
Fox was always about making money and that is all.
The networks were blatently leftist which left an unfilled hole in news programing and Fox filled it.
But don’t worry. If Fox vacates that position, some other capitalist will fill it and make bushels of money in the process.
Boy you touched on a sort spot here. We have alleged Conservatives in the media allowing this phony narative of the economy getting better because of the administration's policies go unchallenged?
We are Conservatives, we are supposed to know better when it comes to things like which branch of government controls the purse strings.
As the impostor president loves to do, lets go back to the Bush administration which, under that administration, (and a GOP led congress) we had economic growth even after 9-11.
Once the congress was taken over by the communists the economy started to tank and the land mind planted by Carter, added to by Barney and company, exploded.
The sycophant media used this decline to bash Bush even though you can plot this downturn on a graph and show it started once the communists took over the congress.
The islamic marxist in chief was sworn into office and made the situation much worse AND plunged us into a possibly insurmountable debt.
The last election started an reversal with the house being controlled by the GOP and guess what, the economy, anemic as it is has started to show signs of life.
NOW WHERE ARE THE ALLEGED CONSERVATIVES POUNDING ON THE PUBLIC AND STATING THE ECONOMY ONLY STARTED TO RECOVER AFTER WE TOOK OVER THE HOUSE? AFTER ALL, IT IS CONGRESS WHICH CONTROLS THE PURSE STRINGS. This message needs to be pounded home everyday otherwise the enemy within known as the MSM will give credit to a community organizer who more than likely could not balance his own checkbook.
We need a Conservative Network—a right thinking Media of our own. Heck even the Communists have the Daily Worker—why can we express ourselves? We should put together a media source of our own—Even if its on the internet. (Beck was right with his Blaze news outlet—but its too much under his thumb in this election). We could do several things-—
A)a Newsletter like Matt Drudge
B) an internet newspaper with daily imput and comments. The Tea Party Tribune.
C) A News Cable Channel with a right wing element the Freedom Channel—or Tea Party Cable News.
Ah, has anyone paid attention to Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal?
In 2008 it was all Obama all the time. Top of paper, usually with a smiling picture, a big article about everything Obama. Now? Now it’s the same gig except that it’s Romney that gets all the daily ink and picture.
Yeah, the editorial page may lean right, but the rest of the paper shills for the left, or at best, for the squishy RINOs. Totally biased.
I have to laugh when watching FNC now and remembering their old slogan “we report, you decide.” Now they are just like the others, Lord they have hired every liberal cast off coming and going from the other network news dregs.
I rarely watch anymore except for Cavuto and their business network. If I want liberal crapola I will watch the real stuff on CNN or ABC.
Rupert Murdoch does not need to die, Fox-Romney-News is already dead.
Fox died the second it second it came out of the closet for the GOP-e.
The more lights that come on, the more I am amazed at what I see.
Wasn’t that the year that Fox prematurely called Florida for Gore, forgetting that the pan handle was in a different time zone?
I know an actual network would require investors, due to the cost.
I do like the idea of a conservative newsletter ala Drudge, or an online TP newsletter site...like a WordPress or something that allows comments.
I suspect I'm preaching to the choir here, but, folks, we're about out of time to turn this sucker around!!
