If youve learned anything from Super Bowl XLVI so far, its that driving a Ford will get you killed when the apocalypse comes.
Unsurprisingly, this spot from Chevy is already generating the most controversy. In it, a man drives through a post-apocalyptic landscape and finds the only survivors are fellow Chevy drivers. Their friend, sadly, drove a Ford and is dead.

I wonder if those Chevy Sonics advertised are the ones sold without front brakes, and had to be recalled? Union workers forgot to install them!!!!
No they’re not. You forgot about peeps!
This year’s collection of ads was pretty lame. The Cheby ad was one of the better ones and that ain’t saying much.
Though I think my funniest favorite was the Darth Vader one. GoDaddy definitely had the cutest chicks.
Every fifth day a turn in the barrel.
I didn’t watch the game but I think ads about the apocalypse would be a little too close to home for me to find very amusing.
Great idea. Have the Ford owner asking the Chevy owners where they’ll go for maintenance and repairs now that GM no longer exists since the government no longer exists.
Just show a Chevy driver smoking a Cig. These days that seems to be enough for a rope.
I’m probably not the first to notice - but I didn’t see a Ford commercial.
I saw VERY long expensive commercials fo the two taxpayer funded US Auto companies. But none from Ford.
Also - the tone of the two ads - Chevy - the thing to drive after the apocolypse - Chrysler “We know how to come back from the brink” -
I wonder - if it says something about their corporate mentality - or even their customers. Very self important. Very - “Self focused about how important they are”.
Then - compare the Suzuki ad - “Traded the sled” -
I could probably go on forever - but there was a tone there.
And - another thing -
For the strangest reason - I want to go out and buy a Fiat 500 Abarth.
I think my Alfas are jealous.
I don't really care which ad was most controversial - except to inform figuring that the folks who draw attention by drumming up controversy (rather than excellence) are scam artists.
So, only Government Motors vehicles will be allowed to get through the entitlement zombie OWS mobs?
Did you not see the Fiat ad?
Fiat owns Dodge-Chrysler
I thought the ad was a bit heavy handed. Plus I hate GM/Obama Regime so my opinion shouldn’t count. Too biased. .
BUMP!
What should be a Ford commercial: The chebby guys talking about Dave and his sorry Ford truck while eating each others Twinkies, then pan to an horizon shot with the Ford loaded with absolutely beautiful women hauling butt across the desert.
The guy in the ford made it to the bug out area. He’s drinking a bud, eating doritos, and has a few go daddy chicks there!!! And I’m not telling you where it is. ppfflltt.
FORD and what it stands for (This is all meant as a Joke son.)
And as we all know, a joke needs a Lot or Little, of Truth, only you the reader, will know for sure.
First On Race Day. :-(
(Sad Face, because Chevy’s always win the big Race’s.)
Frequent Overall’s & Rapid Depreciation. :-)
(Happy Face, well,..... because it’s true.)
Remember boy’s and girl’s, the only thing that “Depreciates” faster than a car or truck, is an “Airplane.”
How appropriate for a Government Motors ad: Hostess just went bankrupt; there won't be any Twinkies.
