A few years ago at the FReeRepublic picnic in Fresno, I gave the narration about the Missing Man Setting. One of my proud moments in life.

I was honored to be there. You did a wonderful job of it, Dave. There wasn't a dry eye in the house.

Each time we have high wind storms, and we’ve had several already, the mailbox gets scoured. This last storm deposited a lot of new snow. I’ll try to get a picture before it melts....we are supposed to get into the mid to high 30s the next souple days. *sigh*

This new storm on Friday brought more than a foot of new snow.

I hate the warm temps in mid winter.

Thank you so much for posting the thread about LTG Boykin. If you ever have the opportunity to hear him speak, don’t miss it. When he described the decisions he had to make during the loss of the Blackhawk in Somalia, there wasn’t a dry eye in the place.

Had to mow and trim the grass today. We have that volunteer winter grass that grows like crazy.

Now winter should at least give you a vacation from mowing!
