It’s great to be called Patriots, but they are from the place of Kennedy, Kerry, and Barney. And NY brought us Hillary Clinton. It is a shame that they can’t both lose.

Not exactly. The players on the teams are from all over the USA. In fact, the teams that represent red areas of the country (Dallas, Tennessee, etc.) have players that hail from blue areas. So if you are rooting for the Dallas Cowboys and their QB comes from a blue state, are you then rooting for the Democrats?

I never put much stock in the "home team". I realize that the local team does not really reflect upon my hometown - unless of course, that team was entirely comprised of players and coaches from my hometown.

Here here. Mixing your politics and your entertainment is a mistake. Entertainment is there for you to have a life OUTSIDE the day to day grind which includes politics.

So I’m guessing those Pats fans that found this regular season disappointing have changed their tune in the last month.
