Instead of the traditional election night party, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich will hold a press conference after the Nevada Caucus on Saturday, raising new speculation about his future in the race. (snip)

He'd pull that endorsement just for the opportunity to get in front of the cameras again.
With that, he announces hes forming an independent run with Sarah Palin as his running mate, under the banner of the Tea Party.
A year ago, I would have said "No way," but now? Bring it on. No votes for Barack O'Romney.
And if it isn't I am ready to go bury my
because I will be much happier not knowing what is going on around me.
He has since FL. The last few times I've seen him on TV, he seems to have lost that fire.
That does not include voting for a clone.
You are woefully ignorant about Romney and his church ties and his liberal policies.
I don't expect perfection. But I will NOT vote for a liberal cult member. The "R" behind his name means NOTHING. He has NEVER done ANYTHING conservative. EVER.
Keep pushing Romney and you'll be shown the door. Jim has said "NO Romney! No Way!!!"
Newt/Palin equals Steel on Steel. Or as Palin pronounces Still on Still.
Obviously at some time before the actual election day, there may be a time to discuss sensibly what should or should not happen to create a unified front against the communists.
It’s nowhere near that time. Now is the time for Republicans to duke it out.
We could all save the warm fuzzy “common ground” stuff for later. :D
After all what is this. Nerf Republic?
I feel Sarah soon will join the Newt campaign and hit the road to help him defeat Mitt. She will resign FAUX. She will not be as VP but as a masterful campaigner. She will ignite the Conservative base.
I truly feel Sarah does not want Mitt as the nominee. She will pick the best time to help Newt.
Exactly right. We have to stop voting for the "equal of evils." Mitt would only delay the inevitable. Mitt will never get my vote.
I know.
Just hate to see people getting zotted. I’m of the old school, I believe the best answer to speech you are offended by, is more speech.
It’s Mr. Thompson’s site, and it’s obviously the best around.
My post actually was more directed to the poster you were responding to. It seems maybe they think we should all work against Obama. An admirable idea.
But it’s not time for that sort of fluff getting along stuff.
Not yet.
Nope, with Mitt and Obama it's the "equal of evils." The destination is exactly the same. Mitt will NEVER get my vote.
Yes we will suffer some more under Obama, but the price we pay for standing up the the BS will be worth it in the long run. In addition, it will send a very loud message to those GOP in office: The fear card will no longer work. Mess with us and we will take you out too, GOT IT. After that they will be more inclined to get Obama under control.
People really need to think about the long term consequences of letting the GOP get away with the coup.
I understand. But Romney is not a good pick. And there are some that are determined to whitewash him. Some by attacking other candidates. Jim drew a line in the sand.
Maybe he promised Newt another $10 million.
I certainly am not planning on failure... I am calling on others to stop planning on it! Ultimate failure that is. I have posted before on how senseless it is to be determining a candidate after 3 primaries and 1 caucus, no matter what has happened in the past.
What I really want to focus on is what each of the candidates will do as president, not the slips of the tongue or past indisgressions and back biting nonesense. I want to see how each stands on his own merit. And I just get annoyed with those who will say if his or her candidate does not get the nod, they will not vote, they will pick up the ball and go home nanner nanner nanner.
Newt torches Romney: It isnt good enough for the Republican party to nominate Obama-lite
