A couple from Texas who moved to a violence-plagued area of northern Mexico to run a Baptist church were found murdered on Tuesday in their ransacked home, relatives said.
John and Wanda Casias, originally from Amarillo, Texas, moved to an area outside of Monterrey, Mexico, in the late 1970s or early 1980s to make it their home. Valerie Alirez, the eldest child of John Casias, said one of her brothers found her father and stepmother dead on Tuesday in their home in Santiago, Nuevo Leon.
John Casias, 76, was a Baptist preacher and the couple ran the First Fundamentalist Independent Baptist Church in Santiago, she said.

More likely than not, the racist pig Holder put out a hit order on these crackers.
Might want to.....I dunno, stay the heck out of Mexico? I’ve heard about a little dust-up they’ve had going on down there for a little while. It’s supposed to be pretty bad.
I guess there wasn’t enough sin north of the border.

We live in Dallas. My husband works with a guy whose family is from Mexico. He decided to to spend Christmas with his family in the village in Mexico that his grandfather founded. He said most of the homes were dark, everyone has moved on because Mexico is no longer safe. The law abiding citizen cannot arm themselves but the cartels are heavily armed.
He loves this country and the freedom it provides. He lives in a rural area where they do not have to lock their doors. He and his neighbors are well armed and yes, when he went to Mexico he took a side arm and he has a TX CHL which won’t do much good in Mexico but he could protect his family.
He feels America would be like Mexico if citizens were not allowed to protect themselves....sad news for loved ones of this missionary couple.....
Sic Semper Dogooders.
One of my best friends and her husband moved to Mexico a few years ago. They can’t understand why we won’t come and visit them.

SNIPPET: “Wanda Casias, 67, was found inside the home with a wound to the head and an electrical cord wrapped around her neck.
Her 76-year-old husband was found in a small building on the property. He also had an electrical cord around his neck.”
They have endured fires, floods, earthquakes, political upheaval and insurgency, terrorist attacks, strange diseases and almost every other thing you can think about including persecution and facing the very real prospect of starvation on many occasions.
They managed to breed and raise a whole passel of progeny, some of whom are still with them carrying on, but most of whom just escaped any way they could.
They are now approaching old age (70+). Some days, I admire them, other days I question their sanity.
They have spent their entire adult lives either doing what they do or raising funds to do what they do.
I honestly do not know what to think of that. I guess I just have to adopt the hippie / libertarian attitude of "let it be".
Try as I might, I simply cannot fathom the underlying force which compels them.
I can’t either, but I’m jealous of their faith. They’ve built up a mountain of treasure in Heaven.
I am also and I agree. Sending you their names via freep mail. Do what you want about that - something or nothing, or just a note in your notebook.
