Iran warns world of coming great event Says 'evil hegemony' soon will be defeated by power of Allah
(snip)
Khamenei then claimed the current century as the century of Islam and promised that human history is on the verge of a great event and that soon the world will realize the power of Allah.
(snip)
Mahdi will reappear at the time of Armageddon. Selected forces within the Revolutionary Guards and Basij reportedly have been trained under a task force called Soldiers of Imam Mahdi and they will bear the responsibility of security and protecting the regime against uprisings. Many in the Guards and Basij have been told that the 12th Imam is on earth, facilitated the victory of Hezbollah over Israel in the 2006 war and soon will announce publicly his presence after the needed environment is created.
(snip)
At the same time, his directive to the Guards ordered a speedy completion of the Iranian nuclear bomb program in which Guards missiles can be armed with nuclear warheads.
(snip)
Any Iranian military or commercial vessel easily could get right outside the U.S. coastline and in less than 60 seconds fire a ballistic missile armed with a nuclear payload and detonate it over U.S. skies in an electromagnetic attack that would plunge America back into the 18th century.
(snip)
Studies show within just one year after such an attack, two-thirds of Americans would cease to exist and the rest would live under dire conditions.
(snip)
They truly believe the end of time is here. As revealed last year, the Iranian secret documentary The Coming is Upon Us clearly indicates that the radicals ruling Iran believe the destruction of Israel will trigger the coming of last Islamic Messiah.

Hmmmm
Soooooo,
Is it your opinion that our government
—knocks on doors to HELP people?
—does NOT deceive and lie wholesale?
I’m shocked to find any FREEPERS that believe we and others do NOT have weapons in space.
Goodness . . . our Patron Saint Ronald Reagan had a lot to say and do about “Star Wars” . . . which . . . BTW, was evidently not to be against the Ruskies . . .
You’re beginning to convince me that you aren’t well studied or informed on such issues.
How would you answer my questions above about the degree and spread of EMP damage in our land?
Of course, I live in tornado alley, and have taken several direct EMP strikes from thunderstorms. That can get expensive.
As I said, I don't expect to die from it. But I do intend to be prepared for anything from lightning strikes (Thanks Ben Franklin) to CMEs that cause EMP and targeted EMP nukes.

Hmmmmmmmm
sounds good.
LIKEWISE.
You are a treasure to me, Brother.
I should probably update my wordpress site so we can discuss the forbidden favorite topic somewhere. ATS is OK but populated with plenty of liberal clueless idiots and rabid naysayers.
Maybe they can smell him?
So, what you are saying is that our military is stupid because it maintains lots of warheads, aircraft for delivery, and loads of missiles when only a single warhead lobbed high above the enemy will kill all kinds of people.
No need to destroy cities and manufacturing complexes and mines, just lob a single warhead and watch them die.
So, either this EMP hysteria is born of ignorance or our military is just plain stupid and wating our money on extra weapons they don’t need.
The technique you present that claims EMP would expand and become this nearly uncontrolled monster is the same one presented by those in the 1940s that said an atmospheric bomb would continue to expand and destroy the Earth. They pleaded with President Truman to stop the nuclear test, claiming they had scientific proof that a single nuclear device would wipe out the Earth. Of course it didnt and they hadnt accounted for the fact that the very same nuclear particles were already present in the atmosphere and the Earth wasnt getting destroyed. Same with the EMP idea you present. It is a wild argument not based in fact.
You'd both laugh and be annoyed if I told you why, but it has to do with the kitchen.
Full Disclosure / Hint : I do all the shopping and cooking in the house, since my undergrad degree was in Chemistry.
Cheers!
“Im shocked to find any FREEPERS that believe we and others do NOT have weapons in space.”
Well, be shocked but I have flown, tracked, or launched just about every space vehicle we have in inventory and there have been no weapons. Reagan’s SDI was a great idea and many ideas went past the drawing stage but none were ever launched. There were significant advances in sensor technologies but no weapons in space.
Interesting.
Sure seems to be a lot of folks who disagree.
What do I know.
You are insisting that your ‘NEED TO KNOW’
is THAT COMPREHENSIVE?
Or just assuming that it is?
Just be sure the dishes come out clean! LOL.
LUB
“Sure seems to be a lot of folks who disagree.”
Sure seems like a lot that don’t, either.
“You are insisting that your NEED TO KNOW is THAT COMPREHENSIVE?”
Do you really think those in the industry could possibly be so blind as to not see a weapon get launched or used? These things cost billions, require tens of thousands of people to design, build, transport, launch, and control. It isn’t physically possible to have such things in space and no one know but a select few. Not even remotely possible. Toss in the fact that foreign countries also track everything and trying to place a weapon in space would cause all kinds of problems. The Russians, French, English, Aussies, and the Japanese all participate, cooperatively, on space tracking efforts. Weapons in space would not, and could not, go unnoticed.
Interesting.
I forget who the well known FREEPER is who confidentially asserted that
crop circles
were managed at a computer console by techs playing with or putting through their paces a certain space based weapons system.
Said FREEPER asserted such from very close personal knowledge.
I do strongly believe that even if Russia, China and the USA do have space based weapons systems, they are all likely coordinated by the Marxist globalists in charge of all the major nations of the world, anyway.
Then there’s the contention that the space based weapons systems are not pointed in, but out.
However, I’m not authorized to talk about that. Which is probably OK given I don’t KNOW much about it anyway.
LOL.
Thanks for your perspective and info.
You seem to be saying that you are at such a high level that you have clearance and NEED TO KNOW over a huge range of space platforms and agencies.
AND
that it doesn’t matter how many panels space platforms are wrapped in . . . their purpose and technologies are essentially transparent to you.
IF that’s what you’re saying . . . and I can’t figure out how you’d be saying less than that . . .
that’s pretty impressive.
CONGRATS on your achievements.
Thanks for the ping!
The person to play the role of the 12th has been chosen and is in training... that's my guess. Imanutjob's wily...
I'll try to answer your questions, as best I'm able.
1) Do Muslims believe Mahdi is supernatural?
Personally, I think the answer would be "No." Both Sunnis and Shiites believe he is a flesh-and-blood human being, although Shiites believe he is currently over 1100 years old (so maybe a "supernaturally gifted" man?). Sunnis think that the Mahdi will be born and grow up near the End Times. Both believe that he is/will be the "purist" Muslim after Muhammad.
2) And do they believe they in the flesh must do specific works to bring down their Mahdi?
Now here I disagree with Reza Kahlili and other commentators. Thay say that Ahmadinejad and others want to "create chaos" to speed up the Twelfth Imam's return. I say that Ahmadinejad et al. perceive the world of today as being in chaos, deduce that the Twelfth Imam will soon return, and want to "pave the way" for him by building and infrastructure for his use, including ships, planes, missles and nukes.
3) I ask because of all the turmoil in the middle east, and so many struggles/wars bloodshed within the Muslim religion.
My recommendation is to study Sayyid Qutb's book "Milestones" (which is non-Millennial). The "Vanguard" of Islamist muslims perceive any moderate, non-jihadist Muslim to be worse than an infidel.
Add rivalries and stir. Try this thread:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1710411/posts
4) But how will Muslims know their Mahdi has appeared?
In the Hadith, Muhammad prophesied several "Signs of Qiyama." Qiyama means Judgment Day, and the Signs indicate that the day is approaching. The appearance and activities of the Mahdi are among the Signs, but fairly well into any timeline a Muslim would devise.
Some of the Signs are boilerplate stuff: earthquakes, floods, corrupt politicians, hypocritical clerics, etc. But some of the Signs are disturbingly specific: men of low birth will construct tall skyscrapers, men will touch the clouds, men will revive the dead, men will throw a projectile at the moon and break off some of its rocks, a man in the East will be able to converse with another in the West -- things that Western Civilization has done.
In the Hadith, the actual description of the Mahdi does not go much further than that he will be a direct descendant of Muhammad (or, rather, Fatima), and then a description of his actions. So there is a lot of wiggle room for claimants.
