We love Mitt Romney, as he is just the kind of milquetoast declinist moderate that won't really tackle the nation's crippling problems, but will make sure that all of us in DC are well taken care of. And if we have to break our own foolish and silly rules to do so, you can bet your bottom that we will.
Best regards,
The Repuglicant Establishment

This is complete BS! If the tables were turned...and Milt was the loser...the RNC would race to get involved is my guess.
I hope Newt fights this, as the rules ARE the rules...RNC rules, at that!

There are two issues involved here:
- Winner-take-all primary.
- Number of Florida delegates awarded.
Florida opted for a winner-take-all primary (which was their right), but also accepted a 50% reduction in the number of delegates awarded, which was the known penalty imposed for holding a winner-take-all primary before Super Tuesday (March 6).
The only logical alternatives are:
- Leaving it as it is or
- Restoring all of Florida's delegates and making the award proportional.
In case one, Mitt nets all 50 delegates from Florida. In case two, 100 delegates are awarded proportionally to anyone getting over 15% of the vote.
This means a roughly 60%/40% delegate split or net 20 for Mitt. But the bigger problem is that Florida is able to skate for violating the primary rules (the logic of which would be a topic for another discussion) and suffer no penalty.
It sets a poor precedent for a relative handful of delegates.
Still, at this point, I understand that Newt needs to fight for every single delegate. But it can't help but revive memories of Al Gore in Florida in 2000 fighting for every vote and attempting to change the rules ex-post facto. Not a good move, IMHO.
Particularly when Newt will be going into some very winnable primary contests.

This entire election is already arranged.
The Florida primary was set up early by the establishment.
They wanted Romney to win Florida which falls in the spin to get this thing over and done with. How many months has it been reported that Romney was the front runner/the candidate on the way to the presidency. The conservatives and the Tea Party have been causing them problems.

Okay, Newt, this comes across as a little bit whiney. After all, you knew it was "winner take all" when you ran in Florida.
Having said that, I do understand that candidates do whatever they can to try to enhance their position.

And when the R.N.C. Again sends a plea for donations I’ll again write on a plain piece of paper “when you stop sending money to RINO’s and start sending it to conservatives then maybe.
Until then, go fish.
and send it back in their stamped addressed envelope.

We don't need anymore proof that the fix is in. The GOP establishment & the media are determined to force RINO Romney on us, meaning they're determined to lose in November.
Republican voters need to wake up and see that they're being played like a fiddle for thinking Mitt "Romneycare" Romney is the strongest candidate. It's all a big lie.

Is the RNC a chartered organization with bylaws and a governing body?
What's happening to the rule of law in this country, when nobody feels that they have to follow their own regulations anymore?
Can the RNC lose its charter as an organization if they demonstrate that they're not serious about holding to their own bylaws that justify their existence?

I believe in starving the beast. I haven’t donated to the RNC in years. I joined the Republican Party of Florida again last year but will not make that mistake again. My county GOP leaders were supporting Romney. They didn’t care what the TEA Party wanted. They wanted our money but not our input.
Give to conservative candidates Freepers! Not a dime to the Republican establishment!
