Things haven't gotten much better for Newt Gingrich .....
The former House speaker abruptly canceled a meeting with Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval ... Not even Gingrich's campaign advisers know why the campaign scheduler called it off, irking them and those in Sandoval's office who had helped set up the event.
.....
Other signs of disarray appeared Wednesday. Gingrich's schedule called for a 1 p.m. rally in Reno, but volunteers put out word that the event would be at noon and that supporters should show up at 11:30. .....

“Mitt-Im not concerned about the very poor-Romney.”
to be honest that is probably the best thing to happen to the Newt (or Santorum) campaign. If one of them can get some traction on that statement it may propel, well most likely Newt at this stage, toward the nomination. Of course if Mitt does become the nominee that statement plays right into B.O.’s hands completely. Still Newt will need more money and a better campaign to get there. Can it happen? we will just have to see
Isn’t Trump endorseing Romney?
All anyone need do here is review your posting history.
Bash Newt and say jack about Romney except that he's more electable than Newt in the general.
Were I in power here your ass would be on a fast train back to Concord.
You ain't nothing but trouble for a forum dedicated to stopping Mitt Romney.
I looked at two pages of your posting history
99% bashing Newt or equating his flaws with Romney or Santorum and saying he is unelectable in the general
but as usual when challenged you resort to the old “well, yea Romney has flaws too”
but that is the only time you take a break here from Newt bashing...to defend yourself from it
I heard he only set up a campaign office in Nevada last week. A little weird, considering one of his biggest supporters is a casino owner.

Why would anybody have to say anything bad about Romney here? There are absolutely NO threads, NO comments, and NO discussion here that is ever good about Romney. The entire site is geared to fighting Romney. There are 20 threads right now just about Romney saying that poor people got enough already from the taxpayers, do we need another 20?
This isn’t even one of those threads where the focus of the article is on attacking Newt’s personality or character. It seems (unless you have evidence that the facts are incorrect) to just be reporting facts about the Nevada campaign.
Instead of attacking the messenger, why not use the thread to get Nevada Freepers to volunteer for Newt? There was a thread a couple of days ago, pinned to the sidebar, recruiting help for Nevada. Reports of campaign issues can either demoralize you, or call you to action. Your response suggests a demoralization that you want to stop — but if we have reached that stage, Newt is in trouble.
He’s a typical NE lib Republican. So I gave up. He states something and then slides away when pushed. Kinda like nailing Jello to a wall. It was waste of nails.
That’s one thing that is really hurting Santorum. Romney of course has the entire GOP mainstream feeding him money, PLUS he has some well-financed superpacs.
And GIngrich, while not having great fundraising on his own, at least has a couple of SuperPacs on his own, including the one funded by the guy from Nevada.
Santorum doesn’t appear to have any PACs working for him. He’s got the “evangelical endorsement” from January, but they don’t have a PAC that I can find. Does he have any 3rd party groups running ads for him now? I think there was something in Iowa, but I’m not sure.
The Reno rally was likely torpedoed by Sharron Angle’s stunning endorsement of Rick Santorum, who now has a legitimate shot at 2nd in Nevada (Mitt is guaranteed 1st because of having Mormon turnout)
ha more name calling
classy
why dont you go over to the pro Mitt posts a few people just posted and do some more name calling to them too
oh please
you call a previous discussion sliding away? a civil back and forth exchanging view points with consideration Jello nailing?
Wow i truly pity you
It actually sounds to me like the Gingrich campaign notified folks ahead of time of last minute changes.
That appears very efficient to me, and it is something that happens to everyone.
In a fast moving environment, and with the breaking news that Florida is not eligible to be a “winner-take-all” state, then I’d say that this is not unusual at all.
The KEY is that they notified early rather than after-the-fact.
You are a formidable wordsmith. The last time Romney ran for president, you were at the forefront, excusing and defending absolutely everything the man has ever done.
I can’t help but wonder if you are gearing up for a repeat, of course you would have to be carful this time around because this forum is now “Newt country”.
As for your question, “Why would anybody have to say anything bad about Romney here?”, well it’s easy....... Romney must be stopped at all cost.
Yup. It was civil.
You have a nice day.
I fear that's a thing of the past around here.
Maybe Newt is re-arranging his schedule to prepare for the DONALD TRUMP endorsement at 12:30 PM.
I admire your willingness to put facts above orthodoxy. Newt has never been organized. He’s a great orator and debater. But accepting those skills, he lacks executive and organizational skills. He was the guy who threw his hat in the ring and left for a vacation.
If I supported Romney, I probably wouldn’t be here. I don’t know why anybody who supported Romney would want to participate here, knowing they couldn’t answer charges.
If Romney wins the nomination because we settled for Newt who couldn’t win, you won’t be able to blame me for it.
SOmetime I’m going to have to correct the misrepresentation of my time here in 2007-2008. It has been overblown — but I don’t feel like arguing the point until the contest is over.
my point about saying bad things about ROmney was ill-spoken; I meant why should EVERY person have to do so all the time. I think I made it clear that there are ample posts detailing the issues with Romney, and since nobody is arguing against them, why do some keep complaining that a particular freeper isn’t posting enough bad comments?
I don’t post bad comments about Al Sharpton, but it doesn’t mean I like him. Heck, I don’t post much bad about Obama, because it seems that field is covered well.
