With just days to go before Nevada Republicans head to the polls to choose who they want to take on President Obama in November, reality show host Donald Trump is injecting himself into the race and endorsing Newt Gingrich.

Trump's office announced Wednesday that he would make a major announcement Thursday morning in Las Vegas, without providing details of what he would say.

Two sources confirmed to CBS News that the publicity savvy businessman plans to endorse the former House speaker in his bid for the Republican presidential nomination. Nevada holds its caucus Saturday.

My cats don’t like any of the candidates. They hate Obama more because cat food is more expensive on his watch.

They don’t care for government at all. LOL

Newt/Trump 2012. Two alpha dogs! It’s an interesting ticket when you think about it. Trump brings the business background and the Northeast independents while Newt carries the South. Then you have the debates. Could you imagine Biden vs. Trump on the undercard and Obama w/ teleprompter vs. Newt? Those are pay-per-view events.

Fox is so obvious in how they bash Newt. They know Trump is probably going to endorse Gingrich so they bring M. Malkin on to bash both Gingrich and Trump. Fox keeps playing how Gingrich said it is a two man race in Florida because they want the public to be outraged over his supposedly telling Santorum to get out even though he did not. How pathetic they are in their reporting! Have you noticed that they would go and investigate every detail in the attack ads Newt would put out and dispute them but Romney’s attack ads were just fine even though they were bogus?

I hope Sarah makes her endorsement of Newt, soon. Her endorsement will help coelesce the women's vote for Newt, and her endorsement in general will help decide the GOP Nom

Like it helped him in Fla? She was urging everyone to vote for Newt to keep this going but apparently not too many listened. Frankly I think endorsements are all hype and don't influence voters. Didn't seem to help Mitt in SC, nor Newt in Fla. nor do I believe it will help Santorum in Nevada with someone who couldn't win against Reid whose negatives were monumental. I do agree with others, however, that the only gain is $$ to keep the race going until someone implodes.

I know...I used to have them on three hours every morning. I can now stand about three minutes. I always tune in for the Michelle Malkin segment and they used her Ricky endorsement to bash Newt and tell him to get out.

Almost as good as winning the lottery.

I wish Donald Trump would start his own TV channel. i.e. TRUMP TV!!!

He would attract a lot of investors and most conservatives are looking for an alternative.

A good mixture of entertainment and hard news - with conservative guests who are allowed to speak. C-Span for the ‘crackers’ Ha ha.

If Newt does not get the nomination - he should have a show of his own - to promote small government and give us concise analysis of what the Federal Government is truly up to.

Did you see how he ended his show yesterday? Sean thanked his Boss Roger Ailes for putting up with him. I thought it weird. I didn’t hear much of the show.

Get ready fir four more years of Obama . . .

After Florida Win, Romney Stumbles in Comments on Poor

We have fake political parties. We deserve them. Our fake political parties are doing their job well -- faking everybody out while Obama builds his tyranny network.

The GOP has shot itself in the foot again. Both leading contenders are dead meat. The time to wake up is long over . . .

Sarah Palin endorse Newt and help coalesce the women’s vote, you say?

She isn’t well liked among women. Very conservative, very well informed women, perhaps, but not women in general.

She would make little to no difference in the fact that Mitt CRUSHED Newt in FL among women voters.

That is the honest truth.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this was actually Trump letting one of his aides say that it’s not ‘positive that it’s Newt’, letting the suspense float out to Drudge to get even more hype behind the announcement. Me thinks this is a Trump ploy to use Drudge/media to hype up the announcement suspense.

Trump is an ego maniac who always plays the odds. He’ll back Romney, JUST LIKE THE REST OF THE ELITE SNOBS.

As the world knows, Trump is a very successful businessman. Remember Mitt turned down that debate w/Trump as moderator for a reason. Mitt would have been toast if he accepted and Mitt knew it. The man is weak, very weak.

Newt is a far better businessman than Mitt. Instead of bringing his brilliance to a company, he chose to go the political route because of his love for America. That is where he put his focus, where his heart is.

He balanced the budget quickly and got things done with opposition. It’s easier to get things done when a company is geared in one direction unlike DC.

Then there is the work ethic - we can agree that is Trump’s mo as well as Newt’s. This endorsement does not surprise me at all. He knows the one more than capable of turning around America. Mitt can fool those everyday voters with lies but never a savvy successful businessman like Trump.

"She would make little to no difference in the fact that Mitt CRUSHED Newt in FL among women voters. That is the honest truth."

Sounds like you didn't quite have enough coffee yet. Whomever Sarah picks to endorse will easily win the GOP Nom. And Mittens bought Florida.....he spent $15+ Million.....he might have well just flushed that dough.....there's no way or reason for Romney to ever be President. We do NOT need a spineless flip-flopper even running on the GOP side. It's embarrassing. Now, as soon as RS drops-out, Newt will be propelled to the front even faster.
