I just found this. Read the whole article but the bottom two paragraphs gives the explanation:

" The ballot election in February does not count for delegates, however it does usually project who will win the state the follow month or gives momentum to a candidate needing an extra push. In March, the state holds a separate caucus which actually decides who wins Missouri’s Republican delegates for the nominating convention."

"So in reality nothing is missed because Missouri is holding a caucus in March to decide the delegates. Still, it doesn't look good in the news that Gingrich isn't on the ballot for the primary in Missouri."

Click on Link: Not on Ballot

So this is why Santorum would have adds out. Go to your Caucus and vote for NEWT.

Read what I just posted at #309.

Newt will not be on the ballot in Missouri, but they also have a caucus and that is where it counts. Read the whole link I posted there.

I don’t live there but If he’s not on the ballot how does the caucus decide who wins? Can they can write in?
