This is the guy everyone in the GOP say can beat Obama?

Sorry to repeat myself, but our nominee last time was John McCain, and guess what happens when you're the nominee for president? You get to put your people in high up positions across the United States in the GOP. After all, they came up with the money that put you over the line as nominee, so you'll want your best people to push you over the line in the general...

Elections have consequences. Hold your nose and vote for a RINO, you simply breed more RINOs. All of McCain's people are happy with Romney, because he matches their opinions. Do you want to hear from Romney's people in 4 years? Do you want them in charge of the midterms?

Ping to above post

Rush did discuss this today, and did point out that Romney seems to be supporting the welfare state with his comments, but he did not rip Romney to pieces over it like he could have.

IMO, Romney's comment reinforces the concept that the welfare state is good for the poor. It also reinforces the concept that people who oppose the welfare state and seek to cut spending don't care about the poor. Romney is damaging the Republican brand already.

What are Santorum achievements for the Conservative Cause versus those of Gingrich? It is insulting to even make the comparison. Gingrich record for the conservative cause far surpasses any of the three other candidates who are left running, but I think you already know this.

YES, I do listen to Levin also, and yes, I have noted that he is MORE out there...going so far as to say he would vote for Santorum, but he’s not endorsing him...

Rush can’t look like he’s for or against anyone until a candidate is picked, otherwise it will poison the well...oh, he COULD, but, I think he’s weighing the risks for the candidates and choosing not to do that.

I literally can not stand Rick Santorum. He reminds me of Huckabee. I wish he would pack it in and go home. He is just an angry looking distateful man. Reminds me of an uptight nosey neighbor.

Go Newt. He is the best.

Fully agree, you sound like me right now.

He is DEAD WRONG
He should have said we are going to make a country where the poor can get off welfare etc etc and become productive members of society
And attack one of its main causes
No fathers in the home

But like the true liberal he is that never dawns on him

Santorum probably saved a lot of money on those 2006 advertisements. All he had to do was cross off Ted Kennedys name and pictures and put in his own.

Now seriously. Those are photoshops/fakes right?

No, I do not know that gingrich’s conservatism is greater than Santorum’s.

Which part of consistent don’t you understand?

Newt on the couch practically porking Nancy Pelosi and calling for cap and trade? Give me a break. He wrote a whole book that Rush was complaining about at the time.

I’d have to say if Santorum is elected president, he’ll then have done a heck of a lot for conservatism.

I can see the attacks on Romney, but Santorum?

No, It was an actual PDF posted on his website up until it was taken down a couple of days ago... Some conservatives challenged him about some of what he did that was listed.. as a matter of fact, you can look up the bills/articles that are listed on the bottom of each one.

I have the original PDF if I can figure out where to post it for download. I was going to post the whole thing here, but I didn’t want to use too much of JimRob’s bandwidth ( and a long page).

“Romney’s mindset seems exactly the same as the Democrats.”

It is always good to come to the right conclusion no matter how long it takes except with politics. This guy is NO conservative. He has a pretty face and that is about it. God save from moderate females!
