Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich invoked the spirit of the Founding Fathers by paraphrasing the Declaration of Independence in his speech to supporters following his second-place finish in the Florida Republican presidential primary.
Gingrich, a trained historian and author, began his 15-minute speech by noting President Abraham Lincolns 1863 Gettysburg Address at the dedication of the first national military cemetery when he spoke of government of the people, by the people, for the people."
And were going to have people power to defeat money power in the next six months, he said in a reference to Florida victor Mitt Romney, whom he referred to as the Massachusetts moderate.
Closing out his remarks, Gingrich stressed his commitment to unleashing the spirit of the American people and called on supporters to reach out to friends across the country to tell them they have a chance to nominate a conservative.
"I promise you that, if I become your president, I pledge to you my life, my fortune, my sacred honor," he concluded. ...

Somehow I doubt very much Newt can accomplish anything except sink Republican chances to win the whitehouse.
I for one am not sure I care, I doubt very much even if either of them were to win that either of them could or would accomplish a fraction of the goverment cut downs they are promising.
Even if they did just repeal obamacare, there is nothing to stop the thieves from doing doing it again. We live under a lawless goverment and there is no way we will ever be able to maintain control of that lawless goverment so as to insure that it at least does not choose to rob us of our reserved rights.
We need to change something fundamental & practical as to poison the well for that unquestioned & unchallengeable power. Otherwise were just talking about a small level of additional respect for our rights for a short time.
The Federal Goverment must be crippled, its presently lawless agents must live in fear of their limits.

For what, a temporary and ultimately meaningless victory at best?
We need the active resistance, and interposition of our State legislators & governors. Not a president simply promising to weld the Lawless federal power more kindly.
I am fighting for something real, and meaningful to permanently & practically undercut Federal power. I don’t see Newt or Romney winning the president being able to play a significance roll in that.
Simply put IT IS NOT FOR WASHINGTON to politically dictate the rights of the people nor their States. Waging & winning a federal election to that regard is ceding that esencal ground in desire for a “quick victory”.
The truth is we have played that game many, many times before and despite even the greatest of electoral victory’s we lost. Washington D.C. politicians do not volentarly give up serous power!
They have to lose that power in practice before they can be made even to concede that lost. Even then that won’t keep them from eventually trying to retake the power.

I just heard on Fox News Florida isn't over yet. It seems that they have a law that winner take all CANNOT HAPPEN until April 1st.
I am not sure the implications of this but they said Newt was going after that law.
I am assuming that because this law was put in when their Primaries was later in the year and then they moved it up, but didn't change the law.

Second, "IF" we were powerful or wealthy ... with SCORES of beautiful, intelligent, sensuous Women hounding us EVERY DAY for "incredible" sex ...
how long (precisely) would you be able to say "no" ?
weeks ? months ? years ?
what if your spouse (secretly) spurned you at home, treated you with scorn and disrespect at home, as you slept on the sofa (alone) for weeks at a time ?
You have to admit that it would be "very" difficult to turn-down the emotional affection and more offered by a BEAUTIFUL admiring woman ...
I know that I would have trouble ... I guess that's why The LORD has made either you or I as a "Donald Trump" character in life ... we simply couldn't survive (morally) ...
So let's cut Newt some slack here ... He's supposedly living as a man whose sins Christ has forgiven ...
Just like Christ does for us when we (momentarily) stop and wonder (for a micro-second) what an incredible time we'd have with the beautiful, smiling 30-something single girl over in the next-door checkout aisle at Home Depot ...
and Christ just then reminds us that we're guilty of adultery

My comments are based not so much on a self righteous condemnation of Newt's transgressions but on a far lower level: I do not think he can beat Obama.
Believe me, if Newt some how gets the nomination, he will have my vote, until that time, I am going to continue to support Santorum and fear that Romney will get the nod. I would love to see Newt go toe to toe with Obama.
