France will send a "Charles de Gaulle" nuclear aircraft carrier Shouldn't that read The Charles de Gaulle nuclear aircraft carrier, since the Charles de Gaulle is a class of one?

Has France given indicated which side they plan to fight on?
Perhaps they’ll wait to see how things go before deciding.

Well that will give the submariners a headache....
I recall the comment earlier about the noise from the washing machines could be heard underwater for thousands of miles..
(Who knew they washed their clothes..? )
And I hope they fixed the glass in the tower that frosted over.

Actually the Royal navy is the home of surrender in the modern era. The Iranians kicked their ass with a motor launch, in sight of their ship. The French navy has been tough on pirates. And the Indians are the most harsh.

The “Charles de Gaulle:” You know a nation does not have a serious naval tradition when they have to name their best ships after guys who served in the ARMY. I mean, why not call it the “Jean-Francois Darlan?”
