Actually the Royal navy is the home of surrender in the modern era. The Iranians kicked their ass with a motor launch, in sight of their ship. The French navy has been tough on pirates. And the Indians are the most harsh.

Mock the French all you want, but they've been with us in Afghanistan since late 2001.
