Politico reporter Jonathan Martin on Tuesday mocked the "cracker counties" of Florida's conservative Panhandle. Talking to Daily Rundown host Chuck Todd, he derided, "Chuck, a lot of the counties in the Panhandle, in north Florida, the cracker counties, if you will...more resemble Georgia and Alabama than they do Florida."
Isn’t Mrs. Martin’s little Jonathan a “cracker” too? It must have been his inner wannabe talking.

Unfortunately, the big change is that this will be a majority minority country soon. Demographics are changing fast. There are less and less American loving redneck patriots all the time, meanwhile there are more and more minorities with a different outlook on where we should take this country.
Based on pure demographic voting patterns, the Reagan landslide of 1980 would not have happened. He'd have only won by a whisper at best. Demographics are working against conservatives at the moment - there are just not enough white people moving to the GOP fast enough to offset the exploding minority populations who vote Democratic.
He needs to read the book black crackers and white liberals.

Truth to tell, rednecks come in many colors, and I mean the hard workin’ man (and woman). Unfortunately, racism is a human ill (not a “white ill”) and there are oodles of racial parochialism to spread around. Whites show less of it because they get mercilessly drubbed when they do. But it’s a free for all in other hued communities.
One of these days a mild mannered and well dressed “cracker” with a long memory is going to lay old Jon out!
