TAMPA, Fla. Mitt Romney rolled to victory in the Florida primary on Tuesday evening, according to early returns and exit polls, dispatching an insurgent threat from Newt Gingrich and reclaiming his dominant position in the race for the Republican presidential nomination.

“I dont know, but it is certainly possible that some Evangelicals felt that Newt should have honored the Ten Commandments. Some religious people are funny that way.”
Your SINS are worse then my sin kinda thing?
THAT sure isn’t scriptural, EVERYONE of us have broken the ten commandments. Seems to me some, even on FR, need to check their hearts and renew their relationship with Jesus Christ.
In fact as I was praying for this country last night and for Newt Gingrich. It occurred to me that many are revealing their true “lack of” walk with God and just maybe that is why there is a Santorum, Romney, and Newt Gingrich.
Where is our FAITH in GOD? Maybe THAT is what God is doing to this Country and to you and to me and everyone else individually.
The Scripture “IF my people, who are called by MY NAME, Shall humble themselves (Check their own heart, motives, attitudes, sin, and confess pride, hate, judgmental attitudes, etc against a brother/sister in Christ) and pray....
GOD will hear from Heaven and HEAL their LAND.
Noot got spanked!
Oh Yeah!
For the GoP and its chances in November..
Uhhh, Santa? This doesn't go to help the 'very poor', does it?
They have safety nets, yaknow.
Poor economy? Yep, but red kettles set record for Salvation Army
Word to the wise: Watch yer step.
Most cold blooded serial killers (known by another name, abortionist) will look YOU in the eye and sincerely tell you that the seven or eight month old alive child is an inconvenience you or your lady should rid yourselves of, then slaughter the child and move to the next sucker. Get it, sucker?
Convenient how ‘Slick Willie’ just happened to have a camera handy...
REally?..you believe that? Perhaps McCain lost because he was perceived as old and uninspiring,..Obama was different and youthful.
I was being sarcastic. Yes McCain lost for all the reasons you mentioned plus Dubya fatigue
I read that only 35% of the registered Republicans voted yesterday. Is that correct?
Leni
It’s always those pesky, little details. Go get ‘em Newt!!!
Hahaha, sorry
I’d rather hear the drivel in your posts more inteligently articulated on CNN that engage with numbskulls like you!
Florida may be a “closed primary” state but I’ve heard that (A)Republican “Registrations” were up (meaning “new” Republicans) and (B) loyalists stayed home (turnout numbers were low).
Sounds like some crossover to me.
So tell us,what flavor is the romney coolaid?
“EVERYONE of us have broken the ten commandments. Seems to me some, even on FR, need to check their hearts and renew their relationship with Jesus Christ.”
So basically, it doesn’t matter what commandments a person breaks or how often? The only important thing is your relationship with Jesus? Do you really think that all Evangelicals believe likewise? Like I said, I don’t know, but I think that some Evangelicals believe it is important that our national leader follow the lessons taught to their children in Sunday school. Or maybe just the thought of the married Newt having a sexual relationship with his young aide while he was condemening Clinton for the same sort of behavior didn’t sit well.
Like I said, I don’t know why every single Evangelical didn’t vote for Newt, but I can see some possibilities.
“condemening Clinton for the same sort of behavior didnt sit well.”
Here is the difference between Newt Gingrich and Clinton as far as the perspective from a true believer’s point of view. Or better stated as a true believer should view.
Clinton never repented of his sin. He pointed his finger thru the TV and Stated “I didn’t....” He lied about it to the Grand Jury.
So a True believer has to say this man was not repentant of his sin. If at some point he DOES repent it is our obligation as followers of Christ to accept and leave Judgement to God. We are to see Clinton as forgiven as WE have been forgiven.
Now as for Newt Gingrich, He has confessed and repented of his sin and so our obligation once again is to accept and forgive as WE have been forgiven.
This really is the VERY HEART of the Christian Faith as to what JESUS CHRIST has done for us and Shows the intent of the believer if he or she does or does not follow what Jesus laid out for us.
For anyone of us to scoff at a brother or sister in Christ, denouncing his Faith or attacking his past sinful life is showing to the world a different picture of what Jesus Christ has done.
We as believers should be very careful how we treat each other because it reflects on how non-believers see our Faith.
