Washington - Lest anyone doubt his solidarity with the American blue-collar worker, President Obama left the office Tuesday afternoon and spent some quality time with a Camaro.
He never cranked up the stereo and took it for a spin, of course, but rather admired it on the showroom floor of the Washington Auto Show.
But the photo op with the classic American muscle car gave Obama the chance to brag that the 2009 bailout he pushed through Congress ended up saving the big automakers.
The U.S. auto industry is back! Obama declared.
Cars are becoming a regular talking point for Obama as he talks up his record on the economy. Though the bailout was assailed by critics at the time, administration officials estimate it saved 1 million jobs throughout the Midwest.

Not until Obama’s takeover did the Mustang out perform the Camaro.

..and it is the one automaker who didn’t get a bailout.. and that is a Shelby conversion Mustang so it is a small business that also didn’t get a bailout.
That would be Fail, Fail, and Fail....

Camaros are made in Canada. GM got a bailout from U.S. Taxpayers.
Mustangs are made in America. Ford didn't get a bailout.
Duh...

That car is about as far away from a Volt as you can get.

If that’s a Camaro, why is there a COBRA on the grill?

The picture with the story shows Obama looking at a Camaro.
That being said, this is the guy that wants a 35.5 MPG CAFE Standard. There will be NO Shelby Mustangs, SS Camaros and SRT Challengers once that happens.

Camaros are made in Canada. ....and designed by a South Korean who now works for the Germans at Volkswagen.

Government Motors HAS NOT paid back all the money they took from the American People. That is the Truth.
I will never buy a GM or Chrysler(Italian product) EVER!
