I thank God that my great grandparents knew enough at the turn of the century to leave the shithole known as the U.K. I tried to figure it out and chose to move there for ah dative job, but I resigned after less than a year because of exactly this kind of bullshit I experienced everywhere when I was there. The U.K. Is still living in the 19th century and their political system is still living in the last century with the czars. The Romans should have sacked that place further. Sorry great-great gramps and mum, but tis true. I’m glad you didn’t have to live to see this.

My great grandfather left Wales in 1863. His sisters emigrated too, but at a later time. After serving in the Union Army from 1863 to 1865, he married another Welsh immigrant and raised 19 children. I've spent considerable time researching my family history. I enjoyed visiting, but the embrace of socialism in Wales offends me in the extreme. It's a gasoline and match social situation for me. Better to avoid it.
