On the Neil Cavuto show Senator John McCain was interview by Neil. The video is titled,"Sen McCain: Gingrich watching the sun set on his campaign." About 2:45 into the video McCain makes this statement,"Mitt Romney is the nominee."

McCain represents everything wrong with the GOP. He is for big government, huge interventionalism overseas, huge spending and he doesn’t give a shit about democracy.
“We know the story. “
well if you know the story why bring it up? my comments were based on the statement regarding who would be the nominee
I didnt realize i had to give an analysis on everything else, the general election, Romney’s religion, the state of affairs in Kazahkstahn.
yeesh some people on this site are so grouchy
One RINO backing another RINO - McCain you lost to Obama and we certainly don’t need another RINO losing to Obama.
I have been a Republican all my life, probably will die a Republican. I have been voting since 1974. The present GOP is not the GOP of yesteryear. Compared to the Red Threat that occupies the White House, these candidates seem conservative, but then, so wouldnt Chairman Mao.
All war is attrition. We, the Republic, have been loosing a war of financial attrition for decades. We, the Republic are engaged in a war with those who govern us. Drastic measures are required to defeat this enemy in order to stop the bleeding that each of us are seeing in the depreciation of our savings, the constant onslaught of taxes, fees, and licenses. Each of them designed to remove our ability to live free.
If a slave is a person who works for no money, then a paid person who works with no money left for savings or investment is therefore a slave. In each case work is done, the slave is fed and roofed.
We have no choice but to vote for the candidate who will without hesitation stop the death of a thousand cuts. Bring the troops home, set them up defending our boarders to stop the invaders(illegal immigrants), while they spend their paychecks here bolstering our economy instead of someone elses.
If we need to declare war, then we do so, and like in the past, ramp it up again.
Reduction of all Federal Spending, and all taxes, fees, and other theft apparatus, is the only way to save our Republic.
All the candidates have faults and planks we dont like. But at this time we need an Anti Federal Reserve, spend slashing nut job. Its our only chance.
Vote Ron Paul, and plead, beg, and demand the others drop out of the race.
They are not interested in the Republic.
Why?
Just... WHY?!!
Who could have watched Romney in the last couple of debates and NOT come away with the impression he’s a vicious, vacuous, self-important snake-oil salesman?
Seriously... if the majority of Republicans think enough of the talking Ken doll to want him as President, I’m out of the party.
Whoever wins FL wins the nomination. Done deal. This is it for Conservatives folks.
Dramatic much.
2008 Democratic primary results
Iowa Obama
NH Clinton
SC Obama
FL Clinton
NV Clinton
There is no way that today will decide who gets this nomination. There are tons of states left. Today only represents 49 delegates and will bring Romney to about 60. Newt will have 29 delegates. Both are far away from 1145 or whatever they need.
Yes, just like Hillary did in '08.
Leftist pukes (including McCain, needless to say) like to play the “it’s over, trick.”
They played that card for years with “Global Warming” - “It’s settled science, so shut up.”
This is nothing more than: “It’s Romney, so shut up.”
I know but it is pitiful to see otherwise intelligent FREEPERS falling for it.
The behavior of Romney, his campaign and his fellow-travelers has been beyond despicable.
They have deluded themselves into believing that Tea Party conservatives will come home for the general--wrong...
And take his idiot savant, odious oxygen thief "tool" of an offspring with him!
Sorry to be shedding idiot savant's in the same company as that hideous self serving carbon unit.
to be honest the last few debates Newt did not shine. That probably had a lot to do with Romneys rise
a lot of Rs want a reason to vote for someone other than Romney trouble is that the others all have various flaws for one reason or another
Newt had his moment in the sun with his strong debate in SC. Unable to repeat it which basically is Newt’s M.O... He is brillaint one moment and a disaster the next. This uneven performance would also kill him in the general i am convinced of that by now.
In any event after these other guys all crash and burn the only one who appears stable is Romney. made a few gaffes (handling of the taxes was beyond daft) but other than that pretty even keeled performance thoughout. I can see how most non political junkies find him acceptable. they may not love him but look at the others and say “well at least he didnt have 14 affairs, say oops in a debate or sit on a couch with Nancy Pelosi.
Perhaps, some on this site are taking this election seriously. Some maybe don’t think there is anything funny or amusing about what is happening to our country. Some do tend to get grouchy when GOPe’s talking points are gleefully regurgitated over and over in order to suppress the vote. I know that I sure do. Soooo, I know to skip over any posts by you...so I won’t get so grouchy.
awww you taking your ball and going home? truth too painful for you
yikes just chill out or have an alternative explanation based upon empirical data. or you can just put your head under the covers and pretend everything is ok in fantasy land.
oh i also forgot taht Santorum being still in the race is hurting Newt at least in Florida. not to say if he wasnt in the race Newt could seal the deal but it definitely doesnt help matters
ok...finally you got around to it! I think you and Mittens are perfect for each other. Now, go away.
The last debate was packed with Romney supporters.
He’s not mine. Nothing worse than liberal state supremacist masquerading as a Republican.
Same old pattern: Laugh at us, call us the little people, the flyover country, the peanut gallery. Tell us they KNOW because they are the insiders, the elites, the ivy league croissant crowd. Go head-strong and steamroll over us and nominate their pet person who will win (they say). THEN, when, as we knew, the old geezer, (Dole, McCain), or the obvious tepid loser actually loses as we knew he would...then BLAME us because we didn’t do enough to support THEIR choice. If this is who THEY want then THEY can provide the money, the energy and the votes to make it happen. It really isn’t all that exciting to make someone else’s dream come true. It isn’t so bad if they offer any degree of respect or acknowledge at least that last time they were wrong. But that doesn’t happen. They just want the votes and then to ignore and ridicule the people once they get their guy into place. Nope.
“oh i also forgot taht Santorum being still in the race is hurting Newt at least in Florida. not to say if he wasnt in the race Newt could seal the deal but it definitely doesnt help matters”
Yes, Santorum did very well in the last debate. It’s too bad I have a visceral dislike of the guy.
