4:46 interview. Palin sees it exactly as I see it. Newt is THE MOST CONSERVATIVE CANDIDATE WHO CAN WIN...period. He strikes the right balance between idealism and pragmatism.

Check out the links under this too. All of Sarah's recent interviews are there. I'm going to bookmark this site for one-stop Sarah shopping.

Rick Santorum is polling much better than Newt against Obama in Swing states. Rick has very little, if any, baggage compared to Newt. But I would be just as happy if Newt is nominated.

Polls this far out are MEANINGLESS! Bring in some tarot cards and that might be more valid as a prediction. Didn’t you notice how far the polls have swung in each primary state so far? Kerry was ahead of Bush for months and by 7 points 4 months before the election. How’d that work out for him? When the attention is on the candidates, and Rick doesn’t have the ability to go out and personally meet every voter, Newt outperforms Santorum by a wide margin. That is the best evidence we have so far of which one will do better against Obama.

Both Romney and Santorum have more “baggage” that is vulnerable to attacks by Obama from the left (Romney’s leveraged buyout profiteering, Santorum’s religious right views). And Newt has far more accomplishments he can run on than either Romney or Santorum. He also gives far better speeches, does better in debates and is more articulate.

"...but I'm trying to be practical and not so naively idealistic that I would think that, at this point, that anybody but either Newt or Romney will be the nominee."
-Sarah Palin

Couldn't agree with her more.

I love Sarah but Newt cannot win.

We live in a “celebrity society”. Damn the policies.

The masses will not vote for a white, pudgy, gray haired, guy with an annoying voice.
